So for a 5 star hotel this isn't stunning by any means - the hotel is a bit tired and it's all a bit chintzy although with a lovely outside space. However. the check in was very painless and the staff were friendly and helpful, although there were never many of them around. The location is great, being a few minutes walk from everything, and Pisa is a lovely town. If you want a luxurious five star hotel then think again but if want a decent hotel in a good location with friendly staff then this is a good choice
The hotel was ok, free parking and clean. It is located in quite a good location only a 15 min walk to the tower. The downside was the man on reception. Thought he worked at a 5 star hotel by the way he looked down his nose. He certainly needs to go on a personality course and be a lot friendlier to his customers and realise that his job does not make him important..its a receptionist position. Nothing more, nothing less.
This hotel could not have been closer to the leaning tower and the sun terrace on the roof was a hidden gem. We had it all to ourselves and it had a lovely view of the cathedral and tower. The decor was a little dated but if you can live with that then this hotel is perfect.
"Beautiful Grand Tour hotel with impeccable service"
This was one of our favourite hotels on our recent trip to Tuscany. The hotel itself has a beautiful interior, filled with antiques, marble floors, and finishings that you'd see in a period Victorian/Edwardian TV show. Hotel service was fantastic - we felt that the staff wanted to do anything they could to help us enjoy our visit. Enjoying a bottle of spumante on the 4th floor rooftop terrace was one of those things.

We stayed in the main building of the hotel, a beautiful building with lovely garden, literally a stone's throw away from the Pisa tower. Staff was very friendly and helpful, definitely a recommendation for a pleasant stay.
Ours was a brief stay, returning from Italy via Pisa airport. The hotel was comfortable, with a lovely sunny breakfast area. But the main attraction was location: it is absolutely at the entrance gate of the cathedral and Leaning Tower enclosure -both of these beautiful buildings visible from the terrace, over the old city wall.
