“Room for improvement”

Big emphasis on the 'bula' factor, but that doesn't make up for laidback (read lazy) service and slightly scruffy rooms (light bulbs missing, safe broken, TV remote gone, room cleaning erratic) that give an air of the Anchorage being well past its hay day. There is only one restaurant and you'll be wanting to go elsewhere to eat after a couple of days, which means paying for taxis or car rental because of the location. If you're looking for snappy service and stunning scenery, look elsewhere. There's better value further afield.

“Wasnt very clean and some distance from everything else.Theres a trainline running through the hotel”

We where disappointed by the hotel. We had a room with a spa, which was set into a reasonable sized patio, but it was dirty and very exposed to the rest of the hotel. The room was huge, but not very clean or well maintaned (only 1 fan worked, half the light bulbs where blown). There is a light rail line literally through the middle of the hotel with trains running several times a day. The beach was average to below average, but the pool is nice. Food was acceptable. Nadi or the airport is about $25 by taxi. The port is $45. The hotel is some distance from the main roads, meaning taxi is the only viable transport route. Staff where just acceptably friendly, with the exception of on our last day where the manager personally helped us book forwarding flights and had a staff member drive us to the airport in her personal car after some confusion with the hotels booking of a taxi.

“Disappointing”

Room was very dirty on arrival and had to ask few times to get it cleaned. Most staff were not helpful at all. Water leaking from bathroom into the room. Very disappointed. Resort itself is located in a very nice place but needs good staff and hotel needs to be maintained.

“Don't Stay At the Anchorage in FIJI”

Don't stay here if you want a family friendly holiday. It is isolated and expensive. There is no beach for swimming, only the pool. The pool bar did not open once during our 7 nights, the supposedly included water activities did not happen, the children aged 17 and 10 were bored beyond belief. Airconditioning didn't work, TV reception was horrible. Due to isolation, you have to eat in the restaurant and the food and drinks are VERY EXPENSIVE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.
