Wardrobe broken, front door had to be jammed with cardboard to stop it banging in the wind. Was ok but wouldn't recommend it.

For the price a really nice and neat motel. Shame the restaurant wasn't open for dinner the night we stayed. Room 17 was large and spacious, clean, and everything needed was provided. Needed a draught stopper on the front door to keep the cold out.

Homely for great value
Stayed here twice now, always happy with cleanliness and friendly staff. 80's style motel so your typical downsides are noise through adjoining walls and general decor, but beds and appliances are up to date, plus new shower heads with excellent pressure. They have quite nice gardens and I saw a professional gardener once which suggests they care about attention to detail. I've stayed at several in town and for the price I'd say this is the nicest.

This motel is being used for the homeless- the smell of drugs- walking around all night- no locks on the doors , was booked in for 2 nights but after the aircon gave out had - had enough- no one in office after 6pm - checked out in the morning- informed them of what was going on- not interested- no refund on second night

Hello Peter,Are you sure you stayed at Cedar Lodge Motel, 1 Maryvale Cres, Morwell? There is another motel next door which used to be owned by us but was sold approximately 2 years ago. Our Reception is open from 7am to 8pm-9pm during the week and until 8pm on weekends. Our doors have locks and if airconditioner was not working it would have been reported to our technician and you would have been allocated another room. We do not tolerate any undesirable behaviour at Cedar Lodge Motel and if any such behaviour is reported to us the trouble makers would be evicted immediately. Please amend your review to reflect the appropriate Motel. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact Cedar Lodge Reception , Regards Management

Very friendly staff and convenient location. Bit of an annoyance not actually having a sign on the motel to let you know it is the cedar lodge but that’s not a huge issue, just something to keep in mind when you visit. Nice enough and the price is very fair. Would definitely stay again

The facility was close to the Morwell Rose Garden where I volunteer, and the Festival. We would have liked to be able to order a meal on the Saturday night

Location great. Owner was grumpy and couldn’t find my booking even though it was printed out in front of him. I pointed it out and he admitted me. He denied 2 other groups staying at the same place were booked in as well — they were all booked in as well. Didn’t seem to want visitors— but the cleaning staff had done a good job and the location was perfect. So if you don’t mind a rude reception it was excellent!

worst motel i have ever stayed in . stains on carpets . dust on benches, cobwebs. light globes missing from bedside . could see where door had been forced open before . and staff nowhere to be seen... would never stay again or recommend to anyone !!!!

Accommodating Staff.
The rooms were comfortable and the location was in walking distance to everything I needed. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my work vehicle and trailer, to the point of locking my trailer in their private car spot. When the guests in the room next door got a little loud they moved me to a more comfortable room. I could not fault the service.

When we arrived at Cedar Lodge Motel we were informed we had no booking despite the fact that I had booked and confirmed weeks earlier. Not impressed with management although they did find us alternative accommodation.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was in Morwell for work and the Comfort Inn Cedar Lodge provided everything I needed for the short stay and the staff are nice. The restaurant is great too and I had an excellent meal.

Room was clean and comfortable and had everything that I needed. Good location which was very close to where I had to work for a couple of days. The motel has a nice restaurant too - which was a great option as Morwell is not somewhere I felt comfortable wandering around late alone. Hotel staff were very helpful.

we arrived late and contacted the owner to let him know what time our train was to arrive, he kindly offered to collect us from the train station when we arrived. Even offered to cook us a meal after the restaurant had already closed for the night. Old fashioned service that made our trip even more memorable.
