“Great Place”

We stayed for seven nights overall it was a great hotel. On our second day we went to reception and we could see no one on reception then we saw the manager call to a lady in the back office and the young lady came through and we found her unpleasant and basically just rude. All other members of staff were great. The fitness room was great but it was not open in the evening. The only other problem was that they did not have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We were told that it was because we were by the sea with no further explanation.

“Sperlonga's Hidden Gem”

There is nothing but good things to say about my experience. Friendly and helpful staff...fantastic service quality, impeccably clean, &the list goes on. If going to Sperlonga,this hotel is close enough to a numerous sublime beaches and eateries.Will definitely go back there for the next visit. Not to be missed.

“Nice”

The hotel is very nice and clean and the staff are very friendly although most only speak Italian. Unfortunatley the hotel had only been open for 3 days and most services were unavailable. The restaurant was closed. The pool had not been filled yet. There was no laundry service available and the laundrymat in town was closed. The town is very nice and the beaches were beautiful but again most stores and restaurants were closed. I would recommend going a little later in the tourist season.

La stanza era piccolissima. Impossibile fare colazione nel terrazzo esterno in quanto non venivano apparecchiati i tavoli.

“Hotel Virgilio Grand in Sperlonga, fantastisch!”

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Er is niets negatiefs over te melden. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Onze kamer (3-persoons) was ruim genoeg, ook fijn dat we een balkon hadden. De kamer werd heel goed schoongehouden en we kregen elke dag schone handdoeken en om de paar dagen werd het bed verschoond. De ontbijtzaal was ruim (je kon ook buiten gaan zitten). Er was een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, met verschillende soorten brood, kaas, ham, jam etc. en warme gerechten (ei, bacon, worstjes), yoghurt met diverse soorten muesli en gedroogde vruchten, en ook volop vers fruit elke dag. De koffie uit de grote kan vonden wij niet zo lekker, maar we merkten al snel dat je ook aan het personeel andere koffie kon vragen, zoals espresso, capuccino. Heerlijk. De ligging van het hotel was prima. Lekker centraal. Ook een mooie tuin met ligbedden en parasols erbij was fijn.

Area recommendations

Sperlonga is maar een klein plaatsje. Het was overal mooi en gezellig.

Getting there

Vanaf het station Fondi gaat bijna elk uur een bus naar Sperlonga. ( reisduur 20 min)

Must see

Archeologisch museum en grot in Sperlonga. Gaeta en Terracina en Napels leuk om te bezoeken.

Nightlife

Veel terrasjes en restaurantjes, maar geen echt uitgaansleven.

“Non merita le 4 stelle...”

Albergo carino, con un buon design, tuttavia il prezzo è un po' troppo elevato per ciò che offre . Posizione infelice, senza panorama. Il pavimento della camera era coperto da uno strato di polvere. Il personale alla reception non era il massimo della cortesia.
