“Iberostar Hermes - ein Hotel mit viel Gastlichkeit und hohem Wohlfühlcharakter”

Mein Mann und ich waren zum 2. Mal im Hotel Hermes, zuletzt 2009 und jetzt wieder. Das Haus ist u. E. noch besser geworden: sehr persönliche Atmosphäre trotz der Größe, auch kleine Wünsche werden sofort erledigt. Begrüßungssnack auf dem Zimmer, Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee für die Dauer des Aufenthaltes. Geräumiger Balkon. Gemütliche Zimmer, hervorragende Verpflegung, angenehme Hotelgäste und motiviertes freundliches Personal. Der Service ist vorbildlich, Sauberkeit wird groß geschrieben. Die Toiletten (auch sauber, mit Waschtisch und Badewanne) könnten vielleicht alsbald eine kleine Renovierung vertragen, das tut dem guten Eindruck aber keinen Abbruch. Eine der besten Cocktailbars des Ortes findet sich im Hotel. Am Pool (im 5. Stock mit Poolbar) waren wir nicht, Strand vor dem Hotel ist eher klein und liegt zwischen den Felsen, kein Sandstrand sondern Kies, aber mit direktem Zugang von Hotel aus. Divingccenter, für Taucher und Schnorchler ideal. Traumhaft schöne Mirabellou-Bucht vor der Tür. Viele Ausflugsziele von Agios N. aus zu erreichen. Gemütlicher Ort mit Hafen. Wir fahren bestimmt ein weiteres Mal ins Hotel Iberostar Hermes.

Knossos ist Pflicht, Festos im Süden ist aber schöner. .
Must see
Ausgrabungsstätte Malia direkt in der Nähe. Von dort aus nach Krasi fahren, in Krasi steht die größte Platane Kretas, darunter ist ein Gartenlokal, super-idyllisch und nicht weit zu fahren. Sitia besuchen im Osten. Tolle Lage: Ausgrabungsstätte LATO im Osten, auf dem Weg liegt die Kirche Panagia Kera mit alten Fresken (wird z. Z. restauriert), lohnt einen Besuch.
Dining
Pelagos: toller Innenhof, vorwiegend Fisch und Mehrestiere, gehobenes Lokal. Aguas: einfache Taverne mit gemütlichem Innenhof, preiswert und gut Dyonisos: direkt am Agios N.-See
Outdoors or beach
Kommos-Beack in der Nähe von Matala: Wer einen Absteck´her in den Süden (Matala) macht, sollte unbedingt kurz vor Matala hinter Pitsidia nach Kommos Beach abbiegen. Dort ist ein traumhafter Strand mit urigem Strandrestaurant (sehr preiswert), beides lohnt einen Abstecher.

“Tuuto OK a parte il parcheggio”

La posizione è vicinissima al centro e anche se non ha un suo parcheggio lungo la via è stato facile parcheggiare. La cura del personale è buona e raccomando il buffet alla sera molto vario e di ottima qualita' anche se la cucina è di tipo internazionale. La struttura offre degli ottimi punti di ritrovo come bar, palestra e una bella piscina scoperta. Se torno a Creta sarò nuovamente loro ospite

“4星として最低のレベル、がしかし・・・。”

街側のダブルをシングルユースしました。部屋もベッドも広めで、バスタブ付きで2泊180ユ－ロでした（参考までに）。かなり昔にも宿泊したことがありますが、やはり老朽化が進んでいます。インターネットはホテルのくれたアクセスIDとパスワードの回線は接続不良。でも、別のフリーWiFiが入ってきたのでそっちを使いました。清潔度は中位。部屋の中にコンセントが一つしか使えないのは不便。駐車場も自前のスペースはなく、近くのフリーパキングはいつもいっぱいで車を止める場所を探すのに苦労します。しかし、バイキングの朝夕食事付き、メニューは豊富で毎日少しずつ変えているようでした。部屋の冷蔵庫には何も入っていませんが、むしろ自分で買い込んだものを冷やせるのでよかった。プールもあり、欧米の観光客がトドのように寝そべっています。夜にはちょっとしたイベントもやっていました。4星としてはギリギリのレベルですが、価格には見合っており、それとわかっていれば使い勝手のあるホテルといえます。

What to pack
ペットボトルの水は欠かせない。また、このホテルに限らず、欧米の部屋にはポットがないので、小さな湯沸かしを持参するといつでもお茶やコーヒーを入れられるようになります。また、部屋の床は基本的に土足で使用されているので、裸足で歩くには汚いと思った方がよく、濡れても平気な厚手のサンダルは必携です。
