“A Top Class Hotel”
This Hotel has a real Wow factor and it made our holiday exceptional. The rooms are outstanding and the view from our balcony was amazing. They say you get what you pay for and this was definitely the case.
“Great hotel for all”
Excellent hotel, location and service. Fantastic views and beach, great food options.
“A thoroughly relaxing hotel in a beatiful setting”
For our short stay, this felt like a truly 5-star experience. The staff were unobtrusive but always on hand to help, and the service was genuinely friendly. Both gym and spa facilities were excellent, and the hotel restaurants, particularly "The Blue Door" meant you did not need to leave the hotel at all. well worth a visit.
“Wonderful hotel”
The hotel is excellent, beautiful location very secluded. Lovely view from rooms, swimming pools and beach. Pools aren't heated which was a shame and restaurants were extremely overpriced. Staff were very helpful and the ultimate guest services were excellent. I had a cake for my husband's birthday and the bookings they made for taxis and restaurants were excellent.
“We will be back!”
The hotel was fabulous and the view is perfect. We went for our anniversary. I had only mention it to the staff in passing when I called to arrange transfers from the airport. We we arrived, we had wine and flowers in the room and rose petals on the bed. The next day when we returned form the beach we had a cake in our room. The staff at the beach left a little to be desired. Service was sparse and slow. We usually had to make our way to the bar where many times the staff was upset we didn;t just wait for them to eventually show up. The rooms were always cleaned throughly. The balconies were fabulous. We did spa treatments and were thoroughly pleased with the massages, facials and mani-pedis. The staff at the spa didn't fawn over us as much as I expected and the pre-treatment area was a little blah but the treatments were great. We ate in Plaka and Elounda. You can walk to Plaka, eat on the water at the place that starts with a 'P'. Elounda is only a few minutes ride for 7 Euros. Eat at Marilena. The food is fabulous and the people are so friendly. You never need reservations, at leats not during May when we visited. Make sure to check out Spinalonga. It is not much but it is a nice hike for a couple of hours.
“Gorgeous hotel”
view was outstanding. beach is rocky but have nice chairs and not crowded. very windy in october
“A Breathtaking Location”
This hotel enjoys an enviable location at the water's edge. Our room had a gorgeous view and a lovely balcony. We had excellent massages and were pleased with the staff in both the spa and the hotel itself. Our only complaint was the prices in the restaurants -- they were exorbitant! And we did have some bad service in the Italian restaurant. But on the whole our stay at the Blue Palace was delightful!
“Lovely - but I expected more”
This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location, with excellent (though expensive) restaurants and very friendly and helpful staff - what more could you want?. So it seems slightly churlish to complain about anything. But, based on the price I paid (okay it was a peak week) and the photos on the Expedia site I really expected the room itself to be better. It was a "Superior bungalow with seaview and private pool"; look at the pictures and you see a lovely one of a room with a private terrace and pool with some stairs coming down on the left hand side. That's not it. Look for one with a double bed and a shell picture above the bed: that's it. It's a decent sized hotel room but hardly a bungalow. And there is a PERSONAL pool but it's cheek by jowl with the neighbouring rooms' pools and overlooked by the room upstairs - so not exactly a PRIVATE. Skinny dip at your peril! But, private or not, waking up and looking out over your personal pool at Spinalonga Island as the sun rises is a pretty hard to beat! So this isn't really supposed to be a complaint - merely an attempt to manage your expectations better than mine.
“Wonderful Vacation spot”
The entire experience was superb. The hotel is by far the best in the area and the entire staff is very friendly and attentive. The various resaurants are delicious, but pricey. If you want fish- walk 3 minutes into the neighboring town Plaka- a can't miss.
“Paradise in Elounda”
We chose this hotel for the second part of our honeymoon and didn't want to leave. Everything was perfect, from breakfast in the morning to the awesome view from our room. Even though the property's restaurants were overpriced, we would go back in a heartbeat!
