“Ruhiges, sauberes Aparthotel mit schönem Pool”

Wer Party und Sandstrand sucht ist falsch hier, wer in der Sonne liegen will, relaxen, die Ruhe geniessen, Ausflüge machen, lesen, schwimmen, genau richtig. Wir haben ein ruhiges, kleines, sauberes Aparthotel mit praktischer Kochnische, Frühstück auf dem Balkon genossen ,ein Teil guckt aufs Meer ein Teil auf die schönen Berge und den Pool und die Palmen. Mietwagen ist absolutes Muss, das Hotel liegt in einem Tal in einem kleinen Fischerörtchen mit einigen netten Tavernen direkt am Wasser, der Strand allerdings felsig, kiesig. Es ist selbst nicht direkt am Strand sondern abgesetzt in einer Nebenstrasse ca 5Gehminuten zum Wasser und zum kleinen Hafen.

Area recommendations
Agais Nikolaos ist sehr nett wie die Küste entlang nach Spinalonga, von dort auch die kleinen Nebenstrassen im Gebirge mit urigen Dörfchen und endlosen Olivenhainen, Die Lassithihochebene ist sehr nett mit tollen Ausblicken, einen Weg hoch den anderen runter und dann zum Dorf Krasio, dieses hat einen 2000jährigen Platanenbaum mit openair Restaurant drumrum. Heraklion ist für einen Tag mit Knossos und der schönen Innenstadt und dem Hafen und dem Archäolog. Museum echt nicht schlecht, keine Ahnung warum die Reiseführer es so schlecht machen. Rethimnion ist wunderschön.

“Ideal für den ruhigen Urlaub”

Wir waren zu Dritt (46,49,15) im September 2009 in diesem Hotel. Es liegt sehr ruhig ca. 200m vom Wasser entfernt. Der Strand ist leider nicht der Hit, wir sind mit dem Leihwagen (unbedingt erforderlich) immer über den Hügel Richtung Sisi oder sogar nach Agios Nikolaos zum Baden gefahren. Im Hotel selbst war unser Zimmer sehr gut, das Frühstück gerade noch ok (aber ziemlich einfallslos), die Freundlichkeit des Personals kaum zu steigern, Sauberkeit ok (mind. 2x/Woche frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher), die Lage in einer Seitenstrasse sehr ruhig, der Blick aus dem Zimmer Richtung Berge über den Swimmingpool wunderbar. Wer einen Urlaub mit Nachtleben oder Attraktionen für die Kids sucht, ist hier (im ganzen Ort !) völlig falsch. Dann sollte man sich Richtung Sisi oder weiter Richtung Heraklion orientieren. Wer aber die Ruhe sucht, freundliche Menschen, ein nettes Hotel in netter Umgebung ist hier absolut richtig !

Traveller's tip
Am Strand knapp 10 Tavernen, bei denen man (mit einer Ausnahme) auch vorbeigehen kann, ohne gleich zum Reinkommen genötigt zu werden. Hier hat man beim Essen wirklich die Qual der Wahl !
