“A lovely hotel!”

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week at the end of October, and we were in fact the last people to leave before it closed for the season! Having read other reviews we had some minor concerns before we left, but we can only say that we found the hotel to be fantastic, both in design and the staff. The evening food has been commented on before in other posts and is not the best, however it is in line with other buffet style food I have had elsewhere and is perfectly reasonable. The room itself was lovely, and incredibly clean as were all of the communal areas. Sissi itself is a typically scruffy, but adorable Greek island town with several nearby beaches and loads of restaurants. The hotel was not in the centre of it, but close enough to not have to walk far!! Sissi is typically Greek and anyone expecting something like the South of France will obviously be dissapointed and should therefore not go!! My final cooments are that we will definately be going back soon!!

“Angela Suites”

Great - a perfect break - hotel is lovely - make sure you stay in the main building though and not the standard rooms, which are OK, but the main hotel is wonderful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food is good - better than we thought, given the poor reviews.

“Awesome place”

Really lovely place with very friendly helpful staff. Food was great although was set menu as it was not busy enough for buffet menu. I am a very fussy eater but enjoyed everything they gave me even though I would never had ordered the dish from a menu.

“Our Wonderful Honeymoon”

On arrival we were instantly upgraded due to being on our honeymoon, and with this we spent our week in a luxury room with its own private pool!. The hotel facilities were generally faultless apart from the food.Eventhough we were staying on a half-board basis, we dined out of the hotel on most occassions due to the lack of quality and variety. However this was our only gripe as the hotel and staff were fantastic and the village of Sissi proved perfect for a romantic get-away. We'd definately recommend Angela Boutique and Sissi as a destination for a wide variety of travellers.

“Attentive Service”

My wife and I visited the hotel this summer (07). From the minute we arrived, the staff saw to our every need. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and the service they offered showed they really cared about their guests. The hotel itself is brand new and beautiful. Fabulous location close to Sissi. We would definately recommend a visit and are looking to return ourselves next year.

“Relaxing Hotel”

Lovely staff. Good food. Situated far enough away from restaurants and bars to be quiet but only a 5 min walk from them and the beach. It was low season when we went and hotel was not at full occupancy which resulted in empty swimming pools and a general calm relaxing atmosphere. Good hotel for couples.

“Nice comfortable place to stay in Crete”

My wife and I went for 3 weeks in this localy rated 5 star hotel. about a 40 minutes drive from Heraklion. First we drove passed the hotel, since it is hidden from the street by a brick wall. The income hall is beautiful and clean. To the right we saw the nice pool and the patio of the bar and restaurant. From the patio you could see the whole modernly designed white buidling and the wall (hidden by plants from the inside) gave a nice privacy to the complex. A very friendly clerc checked us in and lead us to our room at the 1st floor. The hotel does not have a direct view of the sea, but if you lean over the balcony, you can see it. The room gave view on the pool area. It had a big size and a very nicely decorated bathroom. The only problem we discovered was the vibration of the airco in a mobile wall plate, which bothered me at night. I complained about it, and they let us change rooms without any problem. So for the rest of our stay, we stayed in top of the suites with private pool, which is a very calm area of the hotel. Exactly what we were looking for. The food on breakfast buffet was ok. The staff had their hands full, as only two people had to serve all guests, but they were friendly and helpfull. Fresh fruit could always be asked and they would bring it to the table. Diner buffet was pretty variable. plenty of dishes to choose from. Quality wise, we would rather give it a 3 or 4 star in international terms. Over all we had a really relaxing and nice time there.

“Great hotel”

The hotel is just beautiful and a great place to stay. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. We went in the beginning of May and it was very quiet with only a few more guests by the end of the week it was beginning to get busier. I read some reviews before going and definitely agree that hiring a car and staying just bed and breakfast is the best option. I don't think that the breakfast was the best I ever had but was ok, we just got a bit frustrated sometimes with how long it would take to replace stuff, but it got better by the end of the week. I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples or groups. I enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

“Nice boutique hotel”

Would recommend hotel for a quiet holiday. Room was as described, read a lot on tripadvisor that food was not up to standard agree not 5 star but perfectly satisfactory, breakfast was very good and plenty of it and we did take advantage of the evening meal. Pools looked nice but would be better heated especially at end of season. Drinks were a little expensive, as with most hotels. Would recommend that you hire a car as Sissi is very quiet and it was nice to drive around.
