“Great location on the strip”
We checked in at around just after midnight after a delayed flight. Process was quick. We were disappointed that our friend who checked in earlier got a strip view room and we got a view of the airport but the room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed was huge and and very comfy. There was a strange odour in the room but it wasn't an issue. Location is fantastic to explore the strip. Good links to MGM & Excalibur. Casino was great, due to refurb. Clean and pleasant. Didn't use the restaurants but they looked nice. Planned to use the pool but didn't get time, besides who goes to Vegas to lie by a pool?! Free wifi is included in the resort fee which was good. Had such a fantastic time and the trop is great and will be even better when the improvements are completed, which by the way didn't effect our stay one bit!
“A great hotel - recently refurbished!!”
We originally booked this hotel in March (a good 8 months before our trip). We remembered the Tropicana from a previous visit as a not so great hotel, so were not expecting much. But were pleasantly surprised at how well the hotel had been refurbished. Rooms were very clean and modern. Ok.. so there is still some work going on, but it didn't affect us at all. and the Tropicana will be great when it is finished. We especially liked the Biscayne and the Bocca restaurants.. Fairly small in comparison to other huge hotels but excellent food and service.. We could not understand why they were not open every day.. A good time was had by all, thanks to this friendly hotel!! We would certainly come back!
“vegas best kept secret”
we stayed at the tropicana for our week in vegas. it was by far the nicest hotel we went in. i had freinds and family in the MGM and NYNY. We picked this hotel because it was next to these 2 well known hotels and because it was the cheapest in the area. in my opinion the rooms were far superior and the ambiance of the hotel and casino were much better too. The rooms were huge in size and we even had a spare bed! if your lucky enough to get a strip view you will be in for a treat! The casino wasn't as big as MGM nor was it a party hotel like NYNY, but these are what made it so welcoming. You can be in MGM or NYNY in minutes from the tropicana so it really is the best of both worlds! Only half the pool area was open during our stay but this looked fantastic and will rival the best the strip has to offer when finished. room service was amazing, which is no suprise seeing as the 2 restruants (Italian & Steak and Seafood) were 2 of the nicest meals i had during my stayin vegas all in all i wouldn't just recommend this hotel, i would encourage you to stay! we will be booking here again
“Excellent Hotel and Customer Service”
Stayed at the Tropicana 5th April - 12th April. Had booked a 2 queen smoking room. When we arrived at around 7.30 pm they only had a non-smoking room available. Was told we could maybe move to a smoking room the next day. Wasnt very happy with this, as we had had a long journey from the UK, and my travelling companion had been ill from the outset. They checked the system again and said they could get a smoking room cleaned for us in about an hour and half, and they told us to go to Nikki Cafe and have a complimentary meal while the room was made ready. Very thoughtful. Ended up with a deluxe room in the Island Tower, which was lovely!! Very clean, good views and the comfiest bed ever!!! The hotel is bright, clean, and a pleasure to return to after a long day on the Strip. Pool area looks really good, and will be even better when Nikki Beach opens. Casino is bright and some decent machines. Wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.
“Great re model - Will be fantastic when finished”
2nd time to Vegas. Cheaper option but no compromise on service or room quality. Great South Beach feel - Accommodating and attentive staff (especially around the pool & Ambhar). Easy to get to other larger hotels like MGM & NYNY. When Nikki Beach is completed later this month it should look amazing. The upgrade on arrival and late checkout arranged was the icing on the cake. Paradise tower is where you want to be tho. Enjoy
“Brilliant!”
I had the most fantastic time, the Tropicana hotel was wonderful, newly furbished and very comfortable. The only down side was the outside pool, it was beautiful but very cold. I will definitely be booking with Expedia in the future and going back to the Tropicana as it is so convenient for the Strip. I saw Phantom of the Opera three times, (half price tickets on the Strip) I had the time of my life.
“Great hotel and location”
First class in every respect
“A really good place to stay”
I stayed at this hotel in August 2011, it has gone through extensive renovations, without having seen what it was like before, I can only say that my stay here was excellent. The service was very good and nothing was too much bother. Staff were always friendly and the service was the best I have experienced for some time. The onsite restuarants were were very good and staff attentative. The entertainment was very good. I had been told by a cab driver that previously this was a very poor place to stay and was considered to be of only motel standard, but now it was up their with some of the bigger hotels, in fact I had met people who were vstaying at the Mirage who were disappointed with their room and the size, well I can only say that my room was very big and amazingly comfortable, bathroom was a very nice size and my view pretty great also. I had room service and found this to be a very good experience also. I would certainly reccomend this hotel and am looking to returning their next year.
“love the tropicana las vegas”
our room looked exactly as it had on the website.the beds were so comfy iwanted to bring it home ! everything was spotless ,daily maid service, friendly staff.cafe nikki serves very good food and isnt too expensive and there is a deli cafe for snacks.the pool area gets very busy and is very noisey as there are two pools with different music playing.it is easy to access mgm just over the bridge and also newyorknewyork and excalibur and it is also a short walk to the duce that will take you to the strip,or if you prefere it ,its a very enjoyable walk past some very entertaining characters and shops and eating places.
“Smartest Hotel in Vegas”
Our stay in the Tropicana was excellent and hotels new makeover is fantastic it is so clean and fresh. As you walk in the hotel you get a smell of coconut making you feel you are in the tropcs. Our room was beautiful and had a great view of the strip, the only downside was the street noise in the early hours but eh! its Vegas. It does need a decent 24/7 cafe as the small cafe in the hotel was OK but expensive. A great hotel
