“Good value stop over.”
Used this hotel for one night between Grand Canyon and Death Valley as just off the freeway. Good value, especially room service meals. Comfortable and clean room with 2 queen beds. They seem to have problems satisfying non-smoking room requests. The only non-smoking room available was a disabled room despite it being clearly stated on the booking.
“Excellent Find!”
We have been visiting Las Vegas for the last 10 years and have stayed at this hotel before, the staff are very helpful, facilities are on the whole good but will be a lot better soon as they are currently building a huge pool and theatre complex with more restaurants etc, not the biggest casino, but there is a great selection of slots and tables with values to suit all pockets. The hotel is off strip but offers a FREE shuttle bus service from the hotel to various places such as the strip stopping centrally at Ceasers Palace, the outlet mall, the airport etc. Food is great value at the Sundance Grill and the Twin Creeks restaurant is excellent for fine dining, Four Seasons buffet has a great selection to choose from. The swimming pool is adequate, there are plenty of loungers with nice towels and FREE iced water. Rooms are typically set out in hunting lodge style and the beds are really comfortable, room cleaning is excellent!
“Would go back”
I was booked into this hotel for just over a week, my room was cleaned daily although being woken up at 8am by the cleaning lady wandering into my room was very annoying. The main downer was the quality of food at the Sundance Grill - very poor (honey and mustard toppings on a BBQ Chicken pizza, what's with that???), although the Mexican restaurant was slightly better. I didn't go to the Twin Creeks so won't comment on that. During the day the bar staff were extremely friendly and chatty and very pleasant people. Unfortunately the slots were very tight, would recommend the strip for playing. Pool area was pretty dead, which made nice for sitting and reading a book, although it was too hot to sit in the direct sun for too long. Overall the hotel itself was very nice, make sure you rent a car as it is a 10 minute drive from strip... It was very cheap and extremely good value for money so I would stay here again (but dine out elsewhere).
“A friendly hotel can't wait to go back”
This hotel is still like a family run hotel even though its size has doubled over the last five years. The standard rooms need some attention but overall they are comfortable and clean and excellent value for money. I've been going to the Silverton for ten years and there have been lots of changes and some are progressing as I speak. The Seasons buffet is a great improvement on its predecessor and the staff are friendly and helpful. No doubt I'll be back next year!
“Excellent "off-the-strip" hotel”
Had a lovely week at Silverton Casino. We had booked a standard room online, but on arrival the room wasn't very big with only 1 small wardrobe and 3 small drawers, not enough for all our clothes, so we upgraded to a deluxe king room, and this was far superior. Much bigger room with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. The bathroom was also a lot bigger with a large separate shower. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have every slept in. The pool area was lovely and very quiet, some days we were the only ones in the pool. They also have cabanas for you to hire which we did one day. TheSilverton also has a large circular aquarium featuring a "mermaid" and diver at certain times, which was very good. The best part of the hotel has to be the buffet. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent and very affordable. Would definitely go back there again. We had a rental car which made travelling from the hotel to the main strip no problem. If you didn't have a car you would have to rely on taxis for getting around.
