“The Remodeled Plaza”
The Plaza has been upgraded, the lobby is Beautiful, the rooms are very nice with new carpet, new flat screen Tv's and all new furniture. I will be staying at the Plaza next trip.
“Old Vegas and nicely done”
LOVE what they did to the Plaza Hotel. Booking through Expedia we got an awesome Fremont Street view from our room. There were 3 negatives - ice machines in the North tower were down and not every floor has an ice machine (in both towers). The second negative is that they closed the main valet drop off area which brings you right into the front desk. The third negative is that the bathrooms are compact. All-in-All the hotel was awesome and still has the old Vegas vibe mixed with the high end updates.
“A Job Well Done on Renovations!!!”
The renovations are wonderful The bathroom is a little small but the room is very spacious.
“Glad the Plaza is Back”
The rennovations at the Plaza have really turned out very classy. This is not a big strip hotel but is very convenient to everything downtown. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable when we had questions. The service in the casino was excellent. The waitresses were always Johnny on the spot with drinks or water. The slots actually seemed to be fairly loose. This is not a a several hundred dollar a day hotel but was great value for the price. I have stayed at a Courtyard and had basically the same room and paid almost 10 times as much. This is still a work in progress but met our needs. We wish all of them the best.
“Good value for the money”
The inside of the Plaza strikes me as dated, but that could be an homage to Old Vegas, in which case, it fits, since the hotel is at the end of Fremont Street, the heart of Old Vegas. That said, my room was clean, comfortable, and the decor reasonably modern. My only complaint, the beds had only triple sheets; no bed spreads. While this is sufficient most of the year; it can be chilly to sleep at night during cold snaps. Any negatives were overshadowed by the great mid-week rate I got. I'd stay there again, because I saved money for gaming, shows, or other travel. And the festive Strip is only a $7 bus trip away. (And your ticket is good for 24 hours.)
“Will probably go back”
It has been years since we stayed in this hotel. We did this time because it was during the rodeo and it was the only hotel available. What a pleasant surprise. They had remodeled in the past year and did a wonderful job. Everything was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Can't wait to go back.
“Not designed by a woman who wears make-up!”
While everything is clean and brand new in the room (furniture purchased from defunct Fontainebleu), the overall design of the room and bathroom lacked functionality. My Mother and I both wear make-up, and the lighting was poor--even over the bathroom sink. The light switch at the front door did not operate any light in the room, and we had to manually turn on all lamps. Being one of two adjoining rooms, our room was quite large, so it was surprising to see such a tight bathroom with ABSOLUTELY NO hooks to hang up anything. The one little towel rack below the raised sink was not functional for a large bath towel. The raised sink was pretty, but again, lacked practicality. Heaven forbid bringing a child to Las Vegas, but there would be no way for a child to stand at that sink and brush teeth. Except for a large photo of the old Plaza on the wall, there was no other artwork and NO full length mirror anywhere. We found this odd, because there was so much empty wall space. The closet is merely a short rack in the bathroom area (everything squished into the bathroom area). Our room did not have any luggage racks and the regular expected amenities, i.e., pad, pen, extra toilet paper, blowdryer. When arriving at almost midnight, I do not feel like calling housekeeping for these items. On the good side, we found the beds to be clean and comfortable and a pretty stable a/c system. The breakfast deal at the little coffee place downstairs, Cafe Latte, was worth the price.
“Newly Renovated Hotel for half price”
I prefer this hotel than anybody in downtown. a- Its newly renovated. b. Beds are nice , bedsheets are white and nice and clean. not like old quilts in similar priced other hotels. c. No noise, as its on other end of fremont street. d. There was no iron board. i called front desk , and they delivered iron and iron board within 5 minutes. Promptly. Did not used any other facility. They should have more of $ 5 blackjack table.
“Cant go wrong”
Hotel is clean and well maintained. Beds comfortable.
“Perfect Location!”
Our stay at the Plaza was very nice. The room was brand new and the mattress was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpfull. We enjoyed that the location was smack dabb in front of Freemont St. where all the action is. This was the first time we never even had to drive our car, once we arrived. Everything we needed was right there. Look forward to staying at the Plaza very soon. Will never stay on the strip again.
