We were there for a week to attend a wedding

Posted 16-Oct-2014
Pros: The great staff, feast buffet. The pool.
Cons: Fridge in the room, at least for guests staying for at least a week.
Location: Easy access to the Strip and Old Vegas.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel after having read some negative reviews. Our room was comfortable. I would have felt safer in the shower with a safety grab bar. All the staff we encountered were friendly, cheerful and helpful. WiFi reception left a lot to be desired. The pool was clean and the water quite comfortable. Plenty of towels available. Because we were there for a week we would have appreciated having a small fridge in the room. We would definitely consider staying there again if we make another trip to Las Vegas.

Inexpensive lodging

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Pros: The casino offered an "at home" atmosphere.
Cons: The beds in the room were not comfortable.
Location: Easy access to I-15 and a short cab ride to the strip.
The hotel was not what was expected. The staff was pleasant and accomodating upon arrival and the common areas were clean and presentable. The room was another story. The casino was clean and offered several different types of gaming, but had dated furnishings.

Not pleased!

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Personnel was friendly!
Cons: Clean the carpets! Dust the room!
Our stay started off nice until we got to our room. The front desk personnel was very pleasant, finding our room was a distance to walk..we had to go outside of the main hotel and our rooms were in "overflow". The room was small and reminded me of a MOTEL 6! The carpet was extremely filthy! The AC only worked while you was in the room, everytime we left the room (even though we left the AC running) we would come back to a hot room. I will never ever stay at the Palace Station again!!

Nice Hotel really good value.

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: value for money
Cons: just needs updating
Location: mcdonalds across the road 7 eleven next door. a few local restaurants. use the busses if you don't have a car
If you are after good value in las vegas i really recommend Palace station. Its a 25 min walk from the north end of the strip or they provide a free shuttle to the centre of the strip unfortunately it stops at at 11pm. if thats to early for you its a $15 cab ride from the strip. The Courtyard rooms are away from the man hotel and are a bit of a walk from the main facilities in the hotel, however they are closer to the pool area. The pool area is nice and does offer a reasonable priced pool menu. i recommend buying a bucket of beer first at the pool and then going to the 7 eleven next door and buying your beer from there and keeping the bucket in your room. there are many ice machines in the courtyard. The buffet is extremely cheap. works out about a fiver each plus there is no charge for hot and soft drinks and bottles of beer are $2 each. The casino is ok but could do with more up to date machines like the newer casinos on the strip but its still ok. The croupiers are not the friendliest in Vegas. The rooms are ok but pretty basic but a decent size the air con is noisy. music around the pool starts at 10 am and the housekeeping staff are not the quietest and start early. Overall i would stay here again if i couldn't afford a premium hotel on the strip. if you are just looking for a place to stay then you could do a lot worse. yes its no where near at the level of Caesars or mandalay or the rest. but but its a bargain.

Would not stay Again

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: food in resturants very good. Staff very helpful in resturants. Reasonably priced and served in a good time frame.
Cons: Refurnish Courtyard Rooms. Cigarette odor in our non-smoking room.
I have written an honest review. Would not recommed unless rooms updated as mentioned below.

Everything met my wife and I's expectations.

Posted 11-Oct-2014
The staff wasn't all that friendly, but that didn't really concern us. We were there to mainly walk on the Las Vegas blvd. when we came back, the oyster bar was our spot to go eat. The wait was long to get a seat but well worth it. So don't go eat there if your in a hurry. Fitness center was small and needs more cable workout stations. There are none. :(. Pool area was good sized. No complaints.

I did not like the place. Not clean. The staff are not that friendly. The courtyard part is very old . I am not sure about the tower part. Smoking smell every where.
