“Great plush bedroom w/ a flat screen tv and full channels. The staff is incredible.”

Really enjoyed this smaller Vegas property. The people are all very friendly, easy going and accomodating. The room was so clean and the bathroom too. Slept great in the bed w/ very nice, comfortable bedding. The built in desk is sleek and nice, and flat screen with Food Network and Travel Channel and E! and Comedy etc., filled the down time. Great spot and good gaming in this different kind of casino. The local girls train here to become card dealers and they are usually magnificent . One of the best deals and places in Las Vegas.

“Surprisingly GREAT!”

I picked this hotel for 2 reasons, it was close to Fremont Street and it was cheap. Before we left all the sudden my fiance decided to check reviews and he filled me with doubt after reading several negative reviews. We kept joking that we were headed to our 'hotel in the hood'. It was ONE block from Fremont (PERFECT!) and it was super clean and just fine... We had a great experience and even said we would def go there again if we wanted to stay near Fremont Street. Here are my few minor complaints...no full length mirrors anywhere, bathroom was so tiny that it was a little tricky to maneuver your way in and no ice machines in hotel halls-you had to go to the bar downstairs to fill your bucket. All in all, we were very happy.

“Hidden Oasis”

I and my wife could not have been more pleased with our five day stay. The hotel has been recently renovated and is decorated very nicely, the rooms are very clean, comfortable, nice linens, flat screen TV and the pool is awesome. The hotel diner has excellent food and very reasonably priced and friendly service. Very close proximity to Freemont Street and the Duece, transportation to the strip was much easier than expected. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay while taking in all the local attractions. Our next stay in Vegas will definitely include the Gold Spike!

“We'll see you again”

It was a centralized location. All other entertainment was just a few steps away. The indoor facilities were more than reasonable. Thank you for a great stay.

“We'll be back!”

We weren't sure what to expect with this hotel being a block off Fremont, so we only booked one night there. We were pleasantly surprised by how cute and tidy the hotel and casino are. Hotel rooms are cozy, but recently re-done and stylish. We were in the annex building which was an odd walk between the main casino, but not creepy at all. At night I would walk with a friend between Fremont Street and The Gold Spike, but that is common sense in any city. We had a GREAT time at the bar for the Superbowl, and the manager and staff were a lot of fun. We'll stay again, it was a great value! The only complaint I have is having to have an attendant pay you out at the slot/video poker machines, I like to move between machines a lot, so it was odd not having tickets.

“Best Value in Vegas”

Gold Spike is a great little hotel in Vegas. Golden Grill is an excellent resturant, good food and great staff service. Everyone was kind and polite to us. Room was clean and had a nice flat screen tv with audio video hookup so i could playback some of my video i took while there. There pool area is really a nice addition to the hotel with a spa and sauna also. Stayed here twice now and would go back a third time again.
