“Great hotel in downtown!”

Great hotel on Fremont St, good casino, good food. Great for one of the older casinos in Vegas. None of the pan handlers you get on the other end of the strip!

“want in-room luxury”

I know people go to las vegas to gamble, but sometimes there are family members who prefer not to only gamble and want to watch television. Your hotel does not provide free movie stations...not even one......I would love to be able to relax into the wee hours of the morning watching HBO, sleep, enjoy the restaurants in the hotel or elsewhere, and spend money gambling. We need to get away from the slots or tables once in awhile and retire to our rooms knowing that at least we can take in a good movie for free. We do spend money in your city you know. How's about it, one free movie channel and less commercials on your hotel? We know what restaurants are in your hotel and we do visit them.

“My trip to Vegas”

I was impressed with the Fremont Hotel. Every staff member we had contact with was extremly helpful and friendly. The room was a nice size and the beds were very comfortable. I plan on staying here during my next trip to Vegas.

Area recommendations
I liked the Fremont area because seems a little less hectic than the strip. I was a bit overwhelmed when we went to the strip.

“Good value”

Love the downtown area and the Fremont is right in the middle of the action. Much better than the strip. Service was good and staff was friendly. Much better than staying on the strip.

“decent stay for decent pay”

friendly staff, location is perfect for the fremont experience. the beds squeaked a bit but tolerable. valet parking is the only option because the hotel does not have self parking. make sure you keep your valet ticket or else you will not be able to claim your vehicle...make sure you also tip the valet attendants!

“Smoke”

The room that I reserved was a non-smoking room and at check in the room was not ready and we were told it would be 3-4 hours before the room would be ready or we could take a smoking room. The hotel allowed us to check the room out before we agreed to take the smoking room or wait on our non-smoking room. This was kinda early and we had been awake for almost 26hrs and were ready to sleep. So we agreed to check out the room. It was ok didnt stink but still was not the greatest. The hallway smelled as if someone was holding a lit ciggarette under your nose. Since we were so tired and the room wasnt a disaster we agreed to the room. As we were unpacking I tried to cool the room off and to my suprise the a/c unit was not blowing cold air. I tried the heater due to the weather was to get cold later that night, and it didnt work ither. The maintaince guy how didnt speak a lick of english wiggled some wires and shizam now the a/c works. Besides having a smoke smelling hotel (not just the hallway) the lack of ability to communicate and not having the room that I reserved it wasnt to horrible. I guess its you get what you pay for.

“Affordable comfort”

The hotel was comfortable. New pillows needed-- they smelled a little. The evening/morning front desk gentleman was very nice and helpful. Basically, everyone was nice at the hotel and casino to the eateries. The only issue outside of the hotels was the day we arrived it took transportation about 2 hours to get us to our hotel. It was a busy day, and it seemed some downtown traffic lights seemed too long. I think they need to concentrate dropping off guests downtown first because they can take the expressway and work into downtown. That way they can go back to the airport again from the strip. Other than that I did enjoy myself. Thanks!
