Really needs to be updated

Posted 22-Nov-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms need to be updated, too old.
It was a place to stay for the night, but don't think I'll stay there again. Not as nice and updated as other places on the strip.

Needs a serious update

Posted 21-Nov-2014
Pros: Location
The location & amenities are solid. The rooms are really dates - especially the bathrooms. Everything on the main floor reeks of smoke, although this problem is not unique to the Flamingo Lots of construction happening on the casino floor. If you get it cheap & want to be near the major strip hotels, do it.

Central Location but that is it

Posted 21-Nov-2014
Cons: Room service hours, the cleanliness of the hotel, the casino itself is old, dirty and dingy. The poker room is small and out dated.
Location: Great location, but other than that will never stay again.
We arrived after 3 delayed flights and missing a connection flight. We were told there were no more king beds left we would have to take 2 queens. After speaking with a manager we were given a King room secluded that was handicap, the phone didn't work and the heating system was so loud you couldn't hear each other. After speaking with another manager he promptly switched us to a different room with a King size bed. They offered to move us the next day, but we didn't want to unpack and move rooms again. We were there for a short stay and didn't want to be hassling with a move. There is not any room service from the hours of 1:00 p.m.-6 a.m. Room service should always be available.

overall pleasant place to stay

Posted 20-Nov-2014
Pros: the staff, friendly and very helpful. The location perfect view of the strip and of the high roller at night
Cons: plumbing and elevators. The noise the elevators made was pretty scary.
The hotel is what we expected for the price we paid. It was a little dated but in a prime location and had amazing strip view and high roller view. However the staff and their service was above our expectations. So helpful all the time. We had trouble with the people next door having a domestic dispute loudly at around 2am and so had to call security who arrived very fast and settled everything down immediately. The other problem we had was we were in older section which had no hot water so we told the desk clerk next day and they moved us to the spa tower which solved this immediately and gave us an upgrade as an apology. The view was amazing. Yes the staff were well above our expectations.

Great location, old school casino.....

Posted 20-Nov-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: upgrade bathrooms
Location: plenty of bars, food places etc on the Strip... too many to mention really....
We chose the flamingo based on pure location and we were spot on in that regard. Excellent location to everything on the Strip. Almost bang smack in the middle really. Bit old and although the rooms don't show it, the bathrooms do!! We only used the room as a base, so did not get a room with a strip view etc. Quite firm, comfortable beds, awful soft pillows but that seems to be the norm in the USA. Plenty of places to eat in & outside of the casino. Would definitely recommend the Flamingo.

Didn't get our room cleaned one day. Even called they said they were coming but it did not happen. Radio in room did not work. Was not a real big deal but not as nice as it could have been. Also had very noisy neighbors and I do not think there is a lot of sound insulation between rooms.
