Our third visit and we'll be back.

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: There is a full kitchen so you don't have to eat out at every meal, plus communal BBQ's. There is also a separate kids and adult pool.
Location: About a 10 minute drive to the strip, there is also a shuttle that will take you to and from.
Great place to stay. This is always well within our budget and we love being able to cook our own meals. There's always the option to go out for dinner too if you want to. There are big comfy king beds with plenty of extra pillows, full kitchen and bathroom. The pool and hot tub never feel too busy. All in all, a great, relaxing place to stay. Cleanliness got a 4 because some of our dishes were a bit dirty when we arrived.

Nice resort with shuttle to Las Vegas strip

Posted 26-Mar-2015
Pros: Friendly staff & very helpful. Enterprise Rental Car across the street was convenient. Grocery store about 15-20 min. walk . In room safe
Cons: The rooms show their age a little but are very clean & updated
Location: Resort is just off Tropicana ave Would recommend Valley of Fire State Park 40-50 min drive. Count Kustoms 10 min. drive.
Went to Vegas to watch PAC12 bball tournament. We chose Desert Paradise because of other reviews & we weren't disappointed. Shuttles to & from strip was very nice. Gated after 7pm was also a nice surprise. Available BBQs were cleaned daily.

Hidden gem

Posted 21-Mar-2015
Pros: Everything was great
Really pleasantly surprised. The location turned out to be better than we expected & it was easy to get around. Security patrols the area & gates are code activated after 6pm so it feels safe. Self parking (under cover) outside the units was plentiful Pool areas were clean and well maintained. The unit was clean, comfortable. Well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer in laundry room, ample storage throughout the unit and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. This is not a full service resort but a housekeeping visit is included in a 7 day stay. The staff were amazingly helpful and very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit and would recommend it to anyone

It was the greatest hotel in the history of hotels

Posted 19-Mar-2015
Pros: The shuttle, the bbq grills by the pool, the fully loaded kitchen, the spaciousness, the price!!!
Cons: Continental breakfast, a good restaurant nearby, a coffee pot (why should I even have to put that). With coffee cups to go. The recyclable ones.
Location: It was off the strip a bit but the shuttle helped with that. Not much to eat nearby. But I liked that it wasn't in the middle of all the noise.
Lots of space, away from the crazy strip noise, very clean, wish you provided a continental breakfast. Would have been the cherry on top. Liked the shuttle from your place to the some of the popular casinos on the strip. That was very convenient. You really need a good restaurant though to make it all rounded out. It was very affordable also.

Nice homey and away from the crazy strip

Posted 18-Mar-2015
Have never enjoyed Vegas as much as this trip. They have a shuttle service to and from the strip so you can go enjoy it but when you want piece and quiet you can. All the convenience of home so you don't spend so much on food. You can even use there pool side bbq. It will definitely be the way I go every time I go to Vegas

Pros: Space, pool
Cons: Quality of construction is really poor - I wouldn't buy - apparently it is a time share resort.
Location: Close to everything

Great place to really relax

Posted 17-Mar-2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: My only beef,I am not sure it is justified, is that there was no maid service during our entire 3 night stay. In fairness we really didn't need it.
Location: It is a mile or so West of the Strip... thank goodness. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. Don't miss Changs Chinese Rest. on Decatur (North).
My wife and grandson and I spent 3 nights at the Desert Paradise Resort in Las Vegas while attending the ATA Tae Kwon Do Spring Nationals for 2015. The GK is 8 years old and a competitor in Tae Kwon Do. We were not interested in the usual Las Vegas Glitter/Gutter/Garbage that typical 18 to 35 year olds salivate over and which the Las Vegas Strip attracts like moths to the flame. We wanted a vacation room where we could relax and enjoy the facility whild concentrating on maintaining the GK's focus on ATA and his performance. We were delighted with what we found. We had a spacious and extremely comfortable quiet room that was clean and provided with everything and more that you would have at home. The kitchen was fully equipped so that all we had to add was groceries. The bathtub was huge and comfortable, the bed was extremely comfortable and the "room" came with a washer and dryer so that we could do laundry without leaving. We had a nice patio where we ate meals and a front room where we could watch a large screen TV in style. The walk in closet was huge. We had more than adequate towels. The kitchen included a toaster, a full size oven, a microwave, a large refrigerator and freezer, a blender, full kitchen utensils and dishes including baking and cooking pots/pans, silverware and a dishwasher. The air conditioning worked great. The room was quite as was the neighborhood. It is a gated and secure community. My GK loved the swimming pool. Wonderful!!!!
