Vegas Vaca

Posted 27-Aug-2014
We recently stayed 5 days at Bally's. Rooms were very nice and clean. Only thing I would add would be a small coffee pot to jump start you in the morning but that is a Vegas hotel thing. The pool is really nice. There are 2 pools; one deep one for swimming, shallow one for sunning. Big perk, middle of the strip and the action:-)

We spent five nights here, super good service. Expensive to use telephone though so careful on how you use it.

Under construction and noisy!

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: The pool area was very quiet. There was a good shops and restaurants. The staff on the casino floor (bartenders and waitresses) were very attentive.
Cons: Keep TR desk open later than 6pm. We had to walk to the Paris for help. There was no laundry facilities. Don't advertise strip view for Jubilee tower
Location: It was centrally located on the strip close to Caesar's, Bellagio, Flamingo, Paris and Planet Hollywood just to name a few. Monorail access in back
We paid extra to stay in the newly renovated Jubilee Tower. The room was great until we went to bed. All night long there was construction on the main entrance to Bally's which happened to be directly below our room window. Literally all night were sounds of truck engines and the BEEP BEEP BEEP of large trucks backing up. Furthermore, this room was directly across the street from Drei's Nightclub on top of The Cromwell. Until late hours (3am or later) there was very loud music and a police-sounding sirens that blared every 15 minutes. So even though we were on the 22nd floor it was extremely loud all night which prevented us from sleeping for the first 2 nights. We ended up moving rooms, taking time out of our vacation to pack up the room and move into the Indigo Tower. No more noise after that. And lastly, the Jubilee Tower was advertised as strip view but it wasn't really. Once we moved to the Indigo tower, we had a slight view of the Bellagio fountains from the very corner of our window. We had a better view by standing in the ice cold hallway.

Good location, but room was not very well kept

Posted 27-Aug-2014
This hotel is within walking distance of a mall, convenience stores, pharmacy, etc. The room was clean in general, but we found a chair full of hair and dirt. The light bulb above the vanity table was burned and the shower had a problem, which caused only a small amount of water to come out (half of the water was going to the bathtub and half to the shower). The internet wireless connection was slow and many times I could not even get a connection.

Good location right on the strip

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Location was ideal and the atmosphere wasn't too crazy
Cons: More reasonable/good dining options
Location: Centrally located to many "free" attractions even for people there less than 24 hours.
During our stay the hotel was undergoing some construction/renovation to the front which made it a little difficult to access. Otherwise it was a fine experience.

The dunes effect

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: It's location
Cons: Everything. The self parking is confusing because of the intertwined with the PARIS entrance to the structure.
Location: Great , within walking distance.
This hotel has passed its time.we stayed at the indigo tower and if the other towers are in the same deteriorating condition then it's time to implode, and rebuild NOT REFURBISH. The property is in an excellent location. I have been staying here since it was the MGM. The pool plaster is coming loose. The room furnishings are OLD AND USED past it's lifetime. Overall the facilities are not a pretty sight to see. To think we had to pay a RESORT fee..... WHAT RESORT ????????. We won't stay here again until it has been rebuilt again.
