Good memory of this "Vegas Strip" hotel

Posted 18-Sep-2014
Pros: The pool ambiance was great. Nice array of restaurants.
Cons: Easier access to coffee. Easier way to charge to the room (at least in the pool section)
Location: Not far from the SkyTrain and pretty much in the middle of the Strip. Everything is at hand.
We stayed 3 nights there, but being with a 16yo, we didn't use the casino section, nor the bars. The room was more than adequate. A small bad timing one day with the cleaning staff, then they understood our "timing needs" and everything was perfect.

Pros: the pool and staff were nice
Cons: the price on buckets of beers!! 35 for 5 beers is a lot
Location: right on the trip and in the middle of it too!
I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised how clean and big the rooms were and to top it off the pool was big and has a deep end to it was awesome

Seven Day Stay

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: the location
Cons: The hotel needs to be painted, spruced up and brought up to today's standards. Carpet replaced.
Location: Location was convenient. Able to access all amenities.
We had trouble keeping the room temperature to a level we were happy with. It would get too warm and then go to too cold. The music from the club across the road came into our room like it was coming from the room next door. The flook lights below our room did not allow for complete darkness when trying to sleep. The carpets were stained and old looking. The place was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. As we did not spend a great deal of time in our room, this was acceptable as it was kept clean.

When we arrived Ballys did not have the room we had booked available, so they upgraded us to a suite. It was a very spacious room with excellent amenities. There is renovation going on both inside and out that was a bit of an inconvenience for getting into the place and navigating through the construction corridor. We ate at the new steak restaurant there which was exceptional, unfortunately we had to mortgage our house to pay for it.;)

Older room but enjoyable experience

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: Nice gaming area, good buffet, friendly staff, good location on the Strip.
Cons: Room needs remodeling, confine the Wyndam time share people to a place away from the front door as we got "ambushed."
Location: Excellent location
When we walked through the front door, a time share company ambushed us with news of a welcome gift--we thought from Bally's. We stupidly signed up for a three hour pressure sales experience but we did get two free show tickets out of it. The Bally''s staff were all very helpful. We enjoyed the buffet and the gaming. The room was on the 5th floor but the construction noise outside was unsettling at night. At checkout, we waited a very long time in line as there were only two of the five agents behind the counter actually waiting on people. All in all, though, we had a good time at Bally's and would stay there again.

Great location

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, price, and the pool. Comfortable large rooms. C
Cons: Internet is expensive. A lot of Ballys still needs to be updated.Casino and main floor dark and smoky, but close to nicer venue
Location: Close to Miracle Mile Mall, and other hotels on south strip. On bus route to downtown and outlet malls.
Although Ballys is definitely showing its age, we chose it for the convenient location and reasonable rates. Good proximity to bus and other hotels.
