“Hotel Sun Hall Larnaka, premier hôtel promenade des palmiers ("croisette" de Larnaka)”

Bon hotel 3 étoiles normes françaises, avec salle de bain état neuf et moderne, novembre 2011, déjeuner continental, un peu cher mais c'est le meilleur emplacement sur le front de mer.

Area recommendations
Montagne (1950 m) à 50 Km au nord Agia Napa (40 km à l'est, Nicosie, 80 km au nord Limassol, 60 km à l'ouest Paphos, 100 km à l'ouest Bref tout Chypre.
When to go
Probablement au printemps, mai, juin bonne période. En été ce doit être saturé en bord de mer: soleil et plage, très, très nombreux complexes de vacances: hôtels, résidences, restaurants pour plus de 200 personnes, etc. En novembre encore beau temps, mer baignable, supérieure à 20°, plus personne. En journée, bermuda manche courte, un pull pour le soir, même en montagne.
Getting around
Attention conduite anglaise, mais la signalisation en tient compte et pratiquement impossible de se tromper. En cas de location préférer une boite automatique, le levier de vitesse à gauche est en fait le plus génant, même si on y arrive quand même bien.

“Un hôtel inégal, peut faire mieux”

Cet hôtel est très bien situé face à la mer et en plein centre ville, mais il y a une contrepartie négative, qui est le bruit, surtout le dimanche, jour de mon arrivée. Je ne le recommanderais pas à des amateurs de calme et de silence. Un autre problème est qu'il n'y avait pas d'air conditionné au moment où j'y étais (fin avril), juste une soufflerie. Comme il faisait assez chaud, surtout le matin, c'était franchement pénible. Je me suis plaint à la direction et en dédommagement il m'ont offert deux dîners. C'est très gentil à eux mais ça ne règle pas le problème. Le directeur m'a dit que l'air conditionné ne fonctionnait qu'à partir du 1er mai.

Area recommendations
Sur le plan culturel et historique Larnaka n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt mais c'est un bon point de départ, surtout si on a un voiture (j'en avais loué une à Nicosie). Si on est amateur de plages, je pense que la côte à l'est est plus interessante, et si on est amateur d'art, le Troodos et la région de Girne sont nettement plus interessants aussi. Mais c'est une ville agréable avec un beau front de mer

“nicht beeindruckend, aber für Kurzaufenthalt akzeptabel”

Hotel für Massentourismus, direkt an der mit vielen Restaurants und Cafes gespickten Strandpromenade, die das Hotel vom ungepflegten Strand trennt.Zentral u. nahe an der nicht sehr interessanten Altstadt gelegen. 10-15- Minuten zum Flughafen, aber kein Fluglärm.
