“Can't wait to go back”
I stayed in the Capo Bay Hotel in so called Low Season from October 29 to November 9, which was fine with me. No noise, pleasant people. Mostly elderly Germans and Brits, some young families with kids. Excellent weather – 22C, warm sea. The room was lovely and well maintained. Inland view was nice. Hospitable staff. Excellent gym. There was one nasty thing though. The local administration was burning garbage in the nights two day prior my departure. Could not keep my window open and had to use air conditioner. I strongly recommend this hotel. I think it is one of the best on that part of the beach.
“Very nice but not particularly memorable”
The hotel was very full during our short stay and breakfast was a bit manic at times. We chose to eat elsewhere in the evenings because we wanted more local food choices. Staff were generally very good, the free gym excellent and we indulged in some wonderful treatments at the spa. The hotel had been refurbished to a good standard. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had paid extra for a sea view which was definitely worth doing although the view was to the side, another hotel being directly opposite. Our only complaint was that our room was cleaned very late in the day which is a pet hate and always an irritant as it seemed that no sooner had the beds been made than we were using them again. Generally we very much enjoyed our stay and would not rule out a return.
“Fantastic Hotel”
Fantastic hotel much better than some of the 5*hotels we have stayed in on the island. Guru Bar is a perfect chill lounge for adults. Spa is bliss. Staff all very helpful nothing is a problem. Cant wait to go back.
“John from Essendon”
As a 4 star hotel the superior sea view room was of a high standard with ample room but the balcony was rather small in comparsion. The staff dealt with any issues with speed and the Generl Manager made time to speak to us about our complaint, which was to do with rowdy children. It would be advisable to opt for the Bed and Breakfast as the themed buffet style Dinners were mostly lacking in quality and taste apart from the Greek night, as being Greek myself, was delightful. The location in Fig Tree Bay was exceptional but make sure you get a sea view room. The 2 swiming pools are well maintain and have numerous sunbeds. The choice of Bars is again first class. The choice of restaurants in the local area caters for all tastes and budgets. The Local Bus service was excellent and for E2 for a day pass is a great to explore the immediate viccinity from Aya Napia to Paralimni.
“Diamond in the Rough”
If anyone ever says to you: don't go to Protarus - it's full of english tourists and lager louts watching football, drinking Carling and demanding an English Breakfast - they wouldn't be lying. But the Capo Bay Hotel is a gem of sexy design, blissful sanctuary, and unassumming luxury. Recently re-fitted, the hotel excudes a relaxing aura as soon as you walk in. From the stylish interior, to the perfectly appointed bedrooms, to the chic evening bar and terrace, nothing is amiss. Breakfast is buffet: everything inlcuding full english, freshly cooked omlettes, continetal meats and pastries, and fruit salad bar. Coffee, tea and juices on top of this, and we never left hungry. For us, a young gay-couple, and many others, the adults only swimming pool beneath the bar terrace was a god-send! Not having to listen to children splashing and running about meant blood-pressure was never above hibernation. In front of the hotel is the beach of Fig Tree Bay - covered in blue unbrellas and European sun-worshippers - but ignoring them, take your mask and snorkel down to the sea, and go for a paddle around the island: Heaven. If you do choose the South East of Cyprus for your hotel, choose this hotel, but take our recommendation: book a hire car (many available at Larnaca Airport), because if you decide to venture out of the Nirvana that is Capo Bay Hotel, local Protarus is not where you want to hang out: Head for the Troodos mountains. We will certainly vist Capo bay Hotel again.
“Great location and beach.”
Great location. Reception people are barely polite, not warm and won't go out of their way. Housekeeping was terrible. With all that said, I would stay there again, just don't expect it to be 4 star. Our room did have wonderful view, the beach and pool were lovely. Agata in spa did very good job. Thomas the bellman was very good as well.
“Great location and smart hotel”
Sitting next to a beautiful bay, the hotel has been recently renovated and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view over the bright blue sea. Good food and service too.
“Very Impressed”
The hotel has had an excellent refurb both in the rooms and in the restaurant/bar/reception area. There was even a very impressive looking spa, to add to the 2 pools and beach.
“Capo Bay - Protaras”
This hotel has recently been renovated to a very high standard (2009). Not least it has been thoroughly modernised and is a chic and contemporary hotel. The Spa is excellent and the quality of the fixtures and fittings is second to none. The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful. The food is of a high standard, and having recently used other hotels within Cyprus at 4 and 5 star - I would say that the Capa Bay is on a par with them all. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone as it has so much to offer. Families and couples are well catered for and there are a wide range of activities available on the long and sandy beach right next to the hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Protaras whilst being set back from the main tourist areas so it is quiet at night. Overall I am really glad that I chose the Capo Bay and intend to return there again before I leave Cyprus next year.
“Schitterend hotel”
