“Larnaca and beyond”
Over all the hotel was pretty much as I expected. I was given a room on the ocean side with a balcony overlooking the sidewalk below which has one continuos row of side walk cafes and open air bars. On Friday Saturday and Sunday night they were alive with people with loud music until at least 2am. I have to think the hotel has had numerous complaints in the past from patrons who were lite sleepers or who might have asked to change rooms to the other side of the hotel. The hotel staff were helpful and polite and assisted me by arranging to have transportation to take me to the North side of the island for a day trip to the illegally occupied section since 1974. About 40 or so miles from Larnaca. It was worth the trip. The included breakfast was adequate
“Les Palmiers”
Despite being on the main seafront road the hotel was amazingly difficult to locate when driving a car in a strange town. A few hints on the website, such as next to Starbucks would have saved me parking illegally on the seafront road and getting a parking ticket. The location was however very central and convenient for the bars and restaurants, and I did not suffer from any noise.
“Kitchen staff miserable ,impolite and rude”
The reception staff were very friendly and helpul, but the ladie from the breakfast miserable and mean. The food on the breakfast it wasn't enough and whenever we asked for something the answer it was we dont have it.I've tried to go a bit earlier for the breakfast to see if the food was enough but no luck. the rest was all fine ..
“value for money”
The hotel is good value for money. The location is around 2 minutes walk from the beach and in the centre of all the shopping which is obviously great. However, I would only really reccomend it to people to want to party - all the clubs are very close which means it is very noisy at night. The breakfast also wasn't too great. In general though everthing was presentable and clean with friendly hotel staff.
“Larnaca's Best Boutique Hotel!”
I stay at this hotel every year as it it right on the sea-front in Larcaca town centre. The hotel was radically revamped two years ago into a very pleasant boutique hotel. The hotel also contains a breakfast room on the first floor overlooking the sea, providing an extensive buffet breakfast. It is also reasonably priced. One downside are the two outdoor bars situated just outside the hotel, which stay open and are packed until after 2am, playing loud music. I would suggest that if you want a decent nights sleep that you take with you a pair of ear-plugs! Some rooms are situated at the side of the hotel, slightly away from the noise. The only downside of these rooms is that the bathrooms are very small and you won't have such great views of the sea and beech.
“I'd come back to this hotel when I go to Larnaca again”
The receptionist and the staff were very friendly,we booked a regular double room and upon check-in they said there was a sea-view room available and we could go there for free if we wanted. We took the sea-view room which was clean and tidy and had a splendid view towards the Mediterranean Sea.The hotel has a very good location, there is a taxi desk accross it, and overlooks the main promenade boulevard but you could not hear the noise from cafes and restaurants around it.It offers more for its price.Next time I go to Larnaca I'll stay there again.
“brilliant location”
as a place to explore Larnaca the hotel was great. Breakfasts were very poor, but plenty of places to eat nearby, and a great bakery round the corner to buy cheap lunches.
“Good Hotel , amazing location, and value for money”
for a cheap hotel a night Les Palmiers offers you clean room, air conditioner, good location, u walk out of the hotel and you are in the main beach road of Larnaca, full of Cafe, restaurants and pubs all this and added included breakfast
“Better than some other reviews suggest”
Finding a decent good value hotel in Larnaka town is not easy. However Les Palmiers favourably exceeded my own expectations based on what I'd read & experienced beforehand. At the special Expedia rate it was certainly excellent value. My non-smoker room was fairly spacious, clean, & furnished simply but tidily. Air conditioner worked well & its fan blanked out most external room noises. Shower & WC room definitely on the tiny side but functional for 1 person, though space not helped by inwards opening door. Sliding balcony windows would not lock, but not a particularly great security risk. Reasonable & adequate self-select breakfast choice for a 2* hotel. Arrival after midnight presented no problem. Hotel's location very near the seafront is good for those who need to be near the entertainments & beach but I imagine evening/night noises from the cafes, taxis, & streets below being a problem for some in the high season. I was woken at about 8am by a marching drum band on National Day, but obviously not the hotel's fault.
“Very good for the money”
Very nice location on the beautiful waterfront, little bit noisy from the street on Friday nights. Starbucks is in the same building. Breakfast is minimal, but adequate for the money you pay.
