“best thing in laramie”

It was a very nice room, quiet and clean. The breakfast was excellent. I enjoyed the hot tub and fitness room. Everything was very well maintained.

Other
The only problem I had flying in from Texas was I easily became dehydrated and had altitude sickness, dizzy and general malaise. Be sure to drink plenty of water. I come from a humid place and was unable to catch my breath unless in the pool area....Lots and Lots of water.

“Laramie Hampton Inn”

We had tickets for a couples things at the Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration and decided to save some money and stay in Laramie. The Hampton Inn are very comfortable and traveler friendly.

“Good for a small town”

The motel was clean, roomy, and the Wi-Fi worked fairly well, which I think is important when one is traveling away from major cities and communications hubs. Plenty of restaurants on this mall strip, but the more interesting restaurants are downtown, which is not too far away.

Area recommendations
Visit the University and its museums and displays. It is dinosaur country and they have good displays.

“Very pleased with this Laramie area hotel”

“Nice place - excellent value.”

We stayed here with our two college age kids while dropping our son off to school at Wyotech. Very clean and comfortable room with the exception of a roll-away bed which one of our kids used; very friendly, efficient and knowledgable front desk staff; substantial breakfast with nice variety of both hot and cold food and beverage choices. In-room coffee was terrible but coffee was available in the lobby/hospitality area round the clock and was very good and always hot and fresh. The roll-away bed was very uncomfortable but had plenty of blankets and pillows. The regular beds were great. Overall we were very pleased and would recommend this facility to other visitors. The included breakfast alone probably saved us $40 per day.

Area recommendations
One other place we found and loved for food, ambience and service was the Turtle Rock Cafe on 9th Ave. Great panini sandwiches, coffee and pastries in a warm and cozy atmosphere.

“Nice place to stay!”

The Hampton appears to be newer, and was very nice. The rooms even had individual thermostats (you know how frustrating room temp can be in a hotel!). It was easy to find, and was nestled in the pretty hills of Laramie. The breakfast room had ample places to sit. Lots of restaurants close-by, and you can see the Wyoming stadium from the hotel.

Area recommendations
Downtown Laramie is very charming--lots of older shops and seemed very safe.
Dining
Altitude Chophouse in downtown Laramie is delicious! Not a super great place for kids, although they do have a children's menu.

“Great Value Lodging.”

We were very pleased with our stay at the Hampton Inn, Laramie, WY. We booked three rooms for our extended family to attend a family reunion. The bed was comfortable, the desk staff were helpful, the complimentary breakfast was great, and we considered it a good value.

Area recommendations
This area is on the east edge of Laramie which means driving to most things unless you are a inveterate walker. Laramie is small enough that you can reach just about anywhere in town in 10 minutes.
When to go
Don't miss Sweet Melissa's Restaurant and Bar, even if you are not a vegetarian. The food is great and the ambiance is old time western. It is in a 100 year old building.
