“Wouldn't go back...”
When booking this hotel I had read mixed reviews but decided to give it a go. As a couple looking for a quite relaxed holiday I emailed beforehand and requested a room away from all the families and pool areas if possible. Although I didn't get a reply we were put in a part of the hotel well away from all the noise, which was great. We went self catering as we could think of nothing worse than having 8 days stuck eating the same thing, so the room we got with a little kitchen was great. It was very clean but the bedroom light didn't work and the toilet seat wasn't attached. On our first day round the pool we decided we fancied a drink. We went to the bar and were told we couldn't have one unless we were all inclusive!! So for the rest of the holiday we only slept at the hotel and enjoyed the delights of the local bars and restaurants. In the end it's the hotel that has lost out on customers, which seems rediculus to me! Of course we were told that we could upgrade to all inclusive at any time!
“Its ok if you like an All inclusive experience”
We went to this hotel as room only and the location and the standard is great. The real let down was the all inclusive environment. The hotel was busy and found everyone was in large groups or had 'their' space around the pool...if your towel was not on a bed by 8am then you had no chance of getting one...the day we did manage to get beds, we placed them by the childrens pool under the shade and went for breakfast out of the resort, on our return the beds had been moved to the back.....people seemed to find it easy to walk to the bar by the pool but found it hard to walk to put the empty plastic cup in the bin...if your self catering and just looking purely for a bed to sleep in then I can recommend.......
“Aleks”
A bit on a quiet side of Costa Teguise as we learned during Volcano trip, good location for the beach and some restaurants, beutiful snorkelling, white sand bay and beach (Saint Jabillo) just 15 -20 minutes walk from the hotel (try fish feet spa just by this beach - 9.50 Euro for 15 minutes - worth it). Hotel situated almost between two big beaches, Las Charcos (sunbathing only, lots of stones in the water) and las Cucharas (sandy beach and water entry, windsurfing and kayaks available for rental). Two big pools and clean surrounding of the hotel. Great areas for kids! Ask for renovated room when checking in as the non refurbished look like from 70'. Separate bedroom and good size kitchen/ living room area. Beds quite uncomfortable even in the refurbished rooms. Good strengh of shower and good size bathroom. Balcony or quite big tarrace with each room. You have to pay 28 Euro for 13 days internet if you have your own laptop (lots cheaper than using computer in the reception, around 6 Euro per hour). You also have to pay for TV - 4 Euro per single day and 3 Euro if more than 1 day purchased - Only 4 or 5 English speaking channels though. Self service laundry available - you have to purchase your own washing powder. Token for laundry - 4 Euro for washing machine and 4 Euro for the dryer. Small supermarkets just next to the hotel. Receptionists mostly grumpy and not smiling, behaving like they doing you a favour while answering the question. Overall good holidays.

Costa Teguise, Teguise, Spain: Developed in the late 1970s as a luxury holiday playground, Costa Teguise is today no longer exclusive, but remains a very popular family resort. Low-rise apartments and smart hotels face onto a sheltered bay favoured by windsurfers novices and experts alike. Its busy nightlife clusters around an old village-style square. Lanzarotes only water park and its one golf club (a picturesque 18-hole course) lie within the resorts boundaries.
