“Nice apartments”
The apartments looked like they had been recently refurbished. They were well maintained, well equipped and clean. We didn't spend much time there, so can't comment much on the pool or bar. But the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, including helping us book a very reasonably priced hire car. Penita is very close to the seafront with shops and restaurants (as long as you like tex mex!). We were scuba diving from Manta dive centre, which was in the old town (about 25 mins walk), so location wasn't that convenient for us.
“Will be back here for sure”
Throughtout our stay staff at bar and reception went out of their way to be helpful. The food and drink at pool side bar was reasonably priced which made a nice change. Very easy to walk down the stairs at front of hotel straight onto the strip but no noise from the strip audible from the hotel itself. When we return to Puerto Del Carmen we will definatley use this hotel again.
“Good Location”
These apartments are situated just behind the main road and close to all the shops and restaurants. The standard of the equipment supplied is very good, and the rooms are maintained to a high standard. We liked the fact that you could arrange for your room to be cleaned when it was convenient to you, within a given time frame.
“A cosy La Penita”
Tucked away 3 minutes from the main drag of Avenida Playas, La Penita itself is just perfect. Not flashy, nor rundown. We had a room facing away from the pool area and the road traffic, so it was a quiet corner within the complex. I was pleased with the pool - a good oval size to properly swim in and it was clean. However no evening swim as it shuts at 7pm. Despite no reserving sun loungers in advance, it still happens unfortunately. A cleaner did a reasonably good job with our room, turning up 5 out of 6 days stay. Overall, I am well pleased with La Penita.
“Booked already for Dec”
I read great reviews before travelling and they were all accurate. The apartments were spotless, any problems were sorted immediately with no fuss whatsoever. Everyone was helpful and friendly and the grounds were well maintained. The food at the bistro was as good as any of the restrants we ate at and the bonus was that you could take it to your apartment to eat if you wished. A lovely relaxing holiday experience.
