“Perfect choice for a smaller budget”
Despite initial misgivings and it perhaps looking in need of a lick of paint here and there, La Florida turned out to be a great place to stay. On the positive, the room was excellent, maid service top notch, location in the old town was good too - with a decent sized supermarket right next door and the awesome Purple Turtle bar/restarant on your doorstep where you can get a Full English for €3.40 and a beer for €1.50 alongside the friendliest staff your ever likely to meet. A nice leisurely stroll to the main strip takes around 15 minutes and a cheeky cab ride back costs €3.50. On the negative, the screaming Spanish children who decended at the weekend were a tad noisy around the pool, irratic opening times of reception weren't ideal and there were sneaky extra charges for a TV remote - but then again, who wants to go away on hols to watch TV? Would highly recommend this place and not hesitate in returning there.
“Very good for the price!”
The hotel was very cheap, it was better than I expected for the price. The hotel looked like it need a bit of decorating and the lighting in some rooms was quite bad but overall it was a nice hotel. It has a large swimming pool which wasn't too cold and very nearby were good restaurant with cheap but nice food. The receptionists were great, they were very polite and spoke English perfectly and were also very friendly. The location of the hotel was great, it is right next to 2 large supermarkets and about a 15 minute walk to a nice beach. There is a nearer beach but it is not as nice.
“La Florida”
It was the second time we had stayed at La Florida appartments. The last time we stayed at the accomodation it was quiet and peaceful (Feb 2010). Unfotunately this trip was spoilt by noisy neighbours on the floor above us having a row for a couple of hours in the early hours, resulting in presumably cups/plates being smashed against the floor and then other holiday makers getting involved. It is a shame as apart from that the appartments are lovely and the supermarket next door is very conveninet. Also the accomodation is very near the sea and the Old Town and port from where we took a couple of lovely sea trips. Also our room was on the stair well (room 321) and you could hear all the conversations as everyone walked up the stairs. The pool was great!
“la florida puerto del carman lanzarote”
it was a very nice hotel, with good accomodations and facilities, the supermaket and chemist are side by side with the hotel.there is a nice irish pub next door, with sky tv and a friendly welcome. there's a nice beach a few yards down the road on la avenida de las playas, with lots of restaurants,pubs and bars and clubs, and shops. the cleaning lady and the pool guy were adorable!!and so were the other guests staying at the hotel. i would recommand it.
