“Would return”
Hotel in great location, ideal for bars and restaurants in the area. Hotel generally very good though the pool is looking in need of some repair. All public areas well maintained and very attractive. Breakfast selection very good. Did not use restaurant for dinner as many restaurants to try in the marina area.
“Very relaxing Hotel”
We stayed in Club Volcan which is adults only and well worth paying for to get the extras involved. We were looking for relaxation and that is exactly what we had. Lovely room over looking the Marina and a lovely sunset in the evening. Only one problem they played only one CD (Adelle) the whole time we were there in the club room. I suggest they buy more CD's as the same one does get on your nerves. Would definately go back.
“Nice Hotel but not worthy of 5* rating”
The Volcan is stated as a 5* hotel but this may have been in years past, the lack of new areas and the wear and tear over the years is now showing. Although we had an enjoyable stay there are things that I expect in a 5* hotel which sadly this hotel is lacking. The Volcan is located in the Marina area with restaurants and a couple of bars nearby. The location is fab right on the marina and only a 25min walk into Playa Blanca or 3e taxi. On arrival pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to Club room. This gives you a room in a separate part of the hotel with access to private dining room and sundeck area with plunge pool. The sundeck area has plenty of loungers, canopy beds, jacuzzis and small plunge pool. It also has fabulous views of the straits between Lanzarote and Fuertevnetura. The rooms are decent size with two beds put together, with a separate sitting area. The bathrooms are nothing exceptional but clean, and with a separate w.c.The main advantage of Club with the above is the private dining room for breakfast and afternoon teas/coffees with cakes, then followed by a courtesy bar between 6 and 9pm. Would I recommend the Volcan? Yes and No. The Club gives you more options and a better standard of stay but it will cost. This is a nice hotel without the wow factor that on a holiday you do want and look out for. If I was honest this is more a 4* hotel that really needs to improve esp the pool areas, loungers and night time entertainment instead of closing at midnight.
“Ottimo servizio e notevole piscina”

Playa Blanca, Yaiza, Spain: The original port and fishing village maintain an agreeable low-key buzz with good bars and restaurants, but it is the beaches that make Playa Blanca famous. West of the centre, on past the new and expanding fashionable Marina Rubicón, and a clutch of luxury hotels, lie the islands finest golden white coves, known collectively as the Papagayo beaches. Three small cafes are the only development in this protected area.
