Not what we expected

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Location was great next to beach and short walk to main strip. View was fantastic from room. Food was very good, towels & room cleaned daily.
Cons: Definitely needs updating in all areas. Night time entertainment could be improved, that too needs updating, not aimed at all age groups.
Location: Excellent. 2-5 minute walk from main strip loads of shops, bars & restaurants to choose from. Beaches close by. A quiet resort for a relaxing holiday.
Superior room booked, it was disappointing (far from superior, more low end standard), needs up dating, air con cover coming away from wall and the output was very poor even when on full!! The bed was a double, however it was very uncomfortable, it was as hard as nails and only one small narrow pillow per person. Even though we booked a superior room, we still had to pay for a kettle and cups (the kettle which we had been given had to be exchanged as it kept tripping out the main circuit breaker of the room ).The wifi which we paid for was not great, connection kept dropping out all the time when you were in your room. As for the bottle of Cava and fruit basket on arrival still waiting to receive or direct us to it !!!!! Slippers, what slippers never received them. Fully equipped room with amenities ??? No it was not. More electrical plug sockets needed, only three in room, these were all in use with fridge,TV and hair dryer (in the bathroom) had to keep unplugging the fridge( only one accessible) to use the kettle !!!! floor tiles loose and cracked. Found the hotel staff a bit of a mixture, some where very abrupt and not helpful at all. Apart from Nikki on reception who was very helpful and polite at all times and the room cleaners were also pleasant and considerate. The main inside rotating bar area was surrounded by sofa(seating) that was very dirty looking. I would not class this as a 4 star hotel a low end 3 star at the very best.

Established hotel in a great beach location

Posted 05-Sep-2014
Pros: It's close proximity to the beach and the friendliness and efficiency of restaurant staff.
Cons: The plumbing and decoration in the hotel rooms
Location: Excellent child friendly beaches, water sports and excellent running/walking/cycling facilities near by. Shops, bars and restaurants very close.
Very relaxing, pleasant sunshine holiday location. The hotel is perfectly situated with excellent sea views and in very close proximity to walkways and sandy, beaches. The rooms themselves are a little dated, however there are plans in place to remodel those. There is so much to do in and around the hotel for all ages.

Excellent hotel in a quiet setting near beach

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything really. Staff, location, rooms, ambience.
Cons: The bar and entertainment area was huge and as a result noisy. A separate quiet bar would be beneficial. However a little bird said this was planned.
Location: Close to beach and local shops and bars if you feel like stretching your legs
I travelled with my daughter and my two grandchildren ,aged 15 and 13. This was our second visit. The location of the hotel was first class close to the beach and other amenities. The two kids found friends and plenty to do and were always on the move while my daughter and I enjoyed the clean well looked after pool area. Meals were excellent with plenty of choice both evening and lunch All staff were friendly and efficient and all areas were clean and tidy particularly the bedrooms. We did have a slight disappointment in that we had requested twin rooms next door to each other as we were a mixed party of 2 males 2 females. However we were given 1 double room and a twin room but when questioned Reception informed us it was the only way we could be next door to each other. However we settled down and it did not detract from our holiday. Would we return? Most emphatically YES.

Good hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Clean hotel, staff pleasant enough. Hotel is a bit dates but doesn't put you off. Animation staff were excellent, lots of activities and great location right off the beach. Bit windy but you'll still get burnt/tanned. Food was good and loved the revolving bar. Only gripe is sunbed reserving - had to be up 7am to book one!

Good hotel near to beach, bars etc.

Posted 18-Jun-2014
Pros: The food, location was good and there was never a shortage of sunbeds.
Cons: Bedrooms need updating ........take your hair dryer the ones that are in ghetto bathroom are very old.
Location: Near the beach shops etc and plenty of walks
Good hotel near to shops bars etc. Check in good room allocated was on the 3rd floor so we had a good view. The room need updating they are tired but apparently the are fully booked all the time so there is no time to be able to do this. Apart from that the holiday was good.

Lovely hotel great location

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: Loved the view, also loved the food especially the daily barbecue
Location: Great little Irish bar near by with a fantastic resident Irish girl group on Friday evenings the atmosphere was brilliant
Just returned from a long bank holiday break at the Be live Grand, the food was exceptional the location was amazing and the hotel itself had a number of really nice features especially liked the revolving lounge around the bar. Only one fault we were there with four other friends who were also all inclusive but we were constantly questioned when we went up the bar to order drinks for ourselves and our friends.

Great Location

Hotel in a very good position. Food very good, room a bit dated, and the water pressure in the bathroom abysmal ! We were on the top floor, not really worth paying extra to stay on floors five and six.

hotel in excellent location

superb location on sandy beach and centre of resort. Hotel a little dated, but had all the required facilities. Was spotlessly clean and lovely bar area and sea view and balcony for all rooms. Stayed on a b+b basis and there was every type of breakfast food you could possibly think of.

Peace and Quiet location near beach

Posted 24-Feb-2014
Pros: Lovely seaviews and near the beach, everything was near by. There wasn't any children
Cons: Entertainment! There is some really good local talent around the other bars, a fantastic singer we came across in The Bulldog Pub name of Joe
Location: Right near beach plenty of snorkling, boat trips and walking, lots of good bars and food outlets most of them good value
Receptionist could have been more welcoming with more info to hotel. A lot of the staff looked really miserable except the chambermaids who were always friendly and very good at their job. The rooms are in need of an upgrade very tired looking.Could do with Tea/coffee facilities, only English Channel was BBC news. If you were H/B you didn't get waiter service in the bar.
