“Hotel could be OK but very tired facilties”

The basic concept is good - separate lounge & bedroom - but the room fittings are very tired. All the pine fittings need is a good sanding down and re-varnish but it currently does not present a good image when you first enter the room. However, bathroom had been redecorated, was clean, no mould around corners, etc and a powerful shower. Cleaning involves a mop fom a dirty bucket of water simply spreading dust and dirt more evenly over the floor. Our indoor footwear was always dirty and dampness from the bathroom left tread marks all over the apartment. Heavy rain led to damp walls. When reported to Reception I was told "That happens in Lanzarote - it will dry out when the sun shines. Do you need towels to mop up the water?"

Area recommendations
Costa Teguise is a resort that needs completing. Many derelict areas or areas ready for development. That means wide open, not very attractive, spaces between existing developments. Good, simple beaches with all the basics. The costal path around the resort has not been maintained, is broken and very uneven, even in front of the shops and hotels. This would present a trip hazzard for some visitors. In town is better with a good range of shops and restaurants. Player Blanca and Puerto del Carmen present them selves better and would be our choice for a return visit.

“Very enjoyable”

We stayed at the very pleasant Lanzarote Gardens during April 2010 with our two children aged 11 and 15. The apartment was very clean and spacious with a lovely balcony. Pool area also good with plenty sunloungers always available (no 'reserving' allowed!). Entertainment firmly targeted at young families and shows provided by animation team were not for us, but as we were on self-catering we had planned to eat out and get our entertainment in lovely restaurants/bars in Costa Teguise. Fun and friendly, lots going on during day for adults and children such as table tennis tournaments, rifle shooting, games etc. Reception team were great, really helpful especially when we were stranded for extra days due to volcanic ash flight disruption.

Area recommendations
I recommend anywhere within easy walking distance of Costa Teguise beach which is a beautiful golden sandy beach of a perfect size. Also there is a nice lively atmosphere around the main square which hosts a market every Friday and has lots of very nice bars and restaurants.

“Beach Bargain”

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights waiting for a flight. The hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. Very good value. Probably would be a nightmare during school holidays for the " no children folks". Well situated. Is the resort always windy?

“Enjoyable holidayvalue for money”

lanzarote gardens hotel provided good adequately fitted apartment with essential requirements.(take your own shampoo). choice and quality of food we found very good though the dining room would benefit from a makeover. staff all friendly and helpful. the team for childrens entertainment are terrific and they provide plenty of actiities for adults if you want to take part. a separate bar for sitting and taking a drink whilst chatting with friends/other guests would be a welcome additional facility.

When to go
Getting there
Must see
Events and shows
Outdoors or beach

“lanzarote gardens costa tequise”

Wij heben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Zeer attent personeel.

“Lanzarote Gardens - ottimi appartamenti e buon servizio”

Soprattutto girate tanto in macchina!
When to go
Getting there
What to pack
Must see
El golfo, il parco del timafaya, Papagayo
Nightlife
Mhmhmh. non troppo. Meglio il relax della coppia

Costa Teguise, Teguise, Spain: Developed in the late 1970s as a luxury holiday playground, Costa Teguise is today no longer exclusive, but remains a very popular family resort. Low-rise apartments and smart hotels face onto a sheltered bay favoured by windsurfers – novices and experts alike. Its busy nightlife clusters around an “old village”-style square. Lanzarote’s only water park and its one golf club (a picturesque 18-hole course) lie within the resort’s boundaries.
