“Good value hotel”

A good value 3 star hotel. Good food. Room quality a bit "cheap & cheerful" but adequate.

“Good 'all inclusive' in Costa Teguise”

Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. The Hotel was clean and towels were changed every two days. This was our first 'all inclusive' holiday and I can say that it was superb, the food choice was different every day with a wide range on offer to suit all. The location was good, approx 20 mins walk to the main centre along the beach front promenade. Entertainment was good with the hotel reps trying very hard to keep everyone amused. overall very good.

“Family Friendly Hotel”

The hotel was ideal for a single parent travel with children because it was very secure and there were lots of the things for children to do.

Area recommendations

“Excellent Hotel”

Before I went I read various reviews and a constant theme was complaints about the restaurant and the food. Well, I found out for myself the food was good quality there was excellent variety and many different dishes to choose from. For those who found it "repetitive" here's a tip . . choose something different each day! The pool area is good, no problem getting a sunbed (still a few people out with towels at 6am though) . Rooms spacious and clean. One criticism is that the apartments could do with a bit of soundproofing. Someone talks and it can be heard in all the 5 or 6 adjoining apartments and if (ladies) you wear heels, please take them off while in the apartment. Staff were always helpful and pleasant.

“Hotel is great but......”

Have just spent a week at the Lanzarote Bay hotel. The hotel itself and the services on offer are second to none. We were only met with willing and polite staff. But..this hotel is only really suitable if you have children or don't mind being around british families! There's plenty for the kids to do and the free lager made sure that the parents found plenty to do whilst sitting by the pool all day. If you're a couple looking for a quiet get away go somewhere else!

Traveller's tip
Hire a car and get out and about around the island. Car hire is cheap and there is plenty to see outside of the main resorts!

“Excellent Hotel - A Must Visit - Want To Go Back!”

I booked this as a last minute holiday for three adults and did not regret it one bit! I've been to Costa Teguise before and can honestly say this was a fantastic hotel. Lovely welcome and brilliant food. Wide choice of hot and cold. My dad liked the beer and wine being on tap! Hotel has recently been renovated so was lovely. All staff are very friendly and the pool bar is lovely to chill out at both during the day and night. Good location for the quieter Playa Bastian beach and the hotel provides a free bus to the more popular Playa Cucharas beach (although this can be walked to in about 20 minutes). The beaches are extremely clean and vendors come round selling drinks. The hotel is about a 10 minute stroll from the main centre. Try the Grill Casa Blanca restaurant in the main town or the Mexican opposite - both serve great food. We booked a free courtesy room on our last day for an hour which meant we didn't have to rush - lovely! A must visit is the Teguise market on Sunday morning. This can be booked through the hotel and a bus takes you there and back. We didn't want to leave the hotel and wondered why it isn't in the high street travel agency brochures as it was one of the best we saw in the town! Go there now!!!!!!

“Great hotel, as long as you like Family Friendly (ie non-stop screaming kids)”

Hotel is very good; rooms were refurbished a year ago and still look smart and new. All furniture seemed designed to grate and make maximum noise when being moved (eg chairs in rooms / restaurant). Airconditioning was poor and smelly at night, but cold and not-smelly by day. Location is okay; a ten minute walk to 'down-town' costa teguise. Food is fine although hours of dinner were restrictive (7-9pm, not 10pm as advertised). Plenty of fresh grilled meats / fish / salads / vegetables / pasta, although these are generally overlooked by the large number of hugely loud and overweight Northerners / Scousers / Scots / Irish many of whom just ate burgers and chips, drank the free beer all day and had uncontrolled kids screaming and running about from 8am until midnight. This aspect utterly ruined the holiday for us, forcing us to escape to beaches everyday. Be clear; Costa Teguise is a 20 year old collection of hotels and a few restaurants. No 'old town'. No churches; no soul. Just a promenade of a few restaurants. Playa Blanca and Puerto Del Carmen are both infinately more pleasant and interesting towns. Note - the restaurant requires long trousers for men in the evening. And finally, yes, the pathetic game of hogging pool lougers with towels from 7am is widespread here; thankfully they have plenty of loungers and we always managed to get a lounger eventually if we went to the pool...

Traveller's tip
Volcano and Lava tube caves are outstanding. Renting a car made the holiday as there's so much to do outside of the resorts.

“3 star All-Inclusive”

3 star hotel - friendly staff, with a nice refurbishment. Not a 4 star though as some other reviewers have stated. Buffet ok - fairly good choices - although not always sure that they actually match. It makes for a very mis-matched meal. All Inclusive option good - lots of drink choices.

Traveller's tip
Some nice restaurants locally - eat out for a few meals.

When to go
Getting there

“hotetour costa Teguise lanzarote”

tutto Ok.

Costa Teguise, Teguise, Spain: Developed in the late 1970s as a luxury holiday playground, Costa Teguise is today no longer exclusive, but remains a very popular family resort. Low-rise apartments and smart hotels face onto a sheltered bay favoured by windsurfers – novices and experts alike. Its busy nightlife clusters around an “old village”-style square. Lanzarote’s only water park and its one golf club (a picturesque 18-hole course) lie within the resort’s boundaries.
