“A pleasant gateway to Costa Teguise”

Barcelo Lanzarote is the first hotel as you enter Costa Teguise from the south and with the residential blocks making a horseshoe around the central activity area is impressive. From there, is a courtesy bus to central and beach areas as well as bus stop right outside and taxis on rank along with choice of car hire. Many would happily stay by the pools and not venture out to explore. All inclusive is popular and the meals provided buffet style have a very good range, well prepared. There is a high standard of cleanliness including crockery and cutlery. An in house team provide the bulk of the entertainment with enthusiasm and children seemed well catered for on outside observation and nightly shows in bar and stage are a good way to relax at end of day. The only caution I would offer is that although there are some elevators, the place is frustratingly multi level which may help to stop noise between rooms but mean if you have walking mobility issue you can hardly avoid some stairwells to struggle through. Overall this is a hotel to be booked for repeat visits in a good location

Area recommendations
This southern edge of town is quiet but you can look out and see the sea. The central area of the town is full of small bars and cafe or restaurant which cater well for the many apartment dwellers in town. The town is smaller and quieter than others on island.

“Lovely hotel overall!”

When I arrived the hotel couldn't find my reservation, thus expedia obvoisuly didn't follow up with the hotel. The hotel, in spite of being fully booked, was nice enough to put me up in a suite. They are friendly and helpful. The spa was amazing! The pools are lovely and the bar, both poolside and at night, were full of good cheer. The hotel itself is very reasonable, although I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at all! Overpriced, food cold and the coffee, horrible, it comes out of a machine. The service too, was poor. The hotel is situated in an easy access area, with shops outside for your convinence, plus a free shittle bus to the local village where there are lots of good restaurants. There are also lots of activities available from the hotel. Overall an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend it and return there.

Area recommendations
I didn't get to the city of Arrecife, but I hear it's lovely and worth a visit. Go to the beach area and try and visit Puerta del Carmen and do a safari or camel ride....Super fun! There is lots to do and is a holiday everyone can find enjoyement with. There is also a hostoric area too to check out.

“A mattress is a very important thing”

The main problem with this hotel are the mattresses of the standard rooms, which are old and very unconfortable. Please, ask for a room in the superior category, making sure that the mattresses have been renovated. In this case, the hotel is a resort with a lot of facilities and a good relation between quality and prize.

“Will Definately Go Back again for a family break with my young family”

This was the second time we had selected the Barcelo Lanzarote, we had stayed in the Barcelo Fuertaventura a couple of years previous to that. The Barcelo Lanzarote is a good hotel. It has both quiet aspects and more active pursuits for those who wish to partake. The children's Barcy Club is fantastic and the entertainment team are second to none. If anything, my children had a more fantastic holiday than we did!! There are quiet and noisier pools and a heated pool for the children. The food in the restaurant is always varied and we enjoyed it. I would recommend this hotel as family friendly and would actively encourage people with young families to book into this hotel.

Area recommendations
I would recommend the Barcelo Lanzarote hotel to anyone travelling with children right up to teenagers. The hotel caters well for families, Costa Teguise town is an easy walk away, there is a small local beach, the entertainments for all ages in the hotel are brilliant, the hotel itself is well laid out and the staff are fantastic.

Hotel totalmente masificado, con poco personal. La comida bastante pobre, poco donde elegir. Mal en general.

“Investitonsstau”

War innerhalb von 1/2 Jahr zum 2ten mal im Hotel (erste Aufenthalt war 2 Wochen). Neben den Abstrichen in der Sauberkeit musste ich auch feststellen, dass sich auch das Essensangebot erheblich verringert hat - bei nahezu gleich gefühlter Auslastung des Hotels durch ehemalie Ägypthen-Urlauber -. Keinerlei Abwechselung bei wenig Auswahl. Nach 3 Tagen hat sich alles wiederholt.

“un peu déçue”

La formule en demi-pension est un appel au porte-monnaie. Le wifi est très cher, location du coffre en supplément...Le buffet est moyen et surtout, je trouve ça abusif de faire payer l'eau au diner (alors qu'on offre le champagne au petit déjeuner !). Le ménage est un peu superficiel mais ça reste correct. Le personnel en général est agréable, mais le service et l'accueil sont moyens au restaurant.

“Für den günstigen Preis akzeptabel”

4 Sterne kommen so gerade hin. Richtiger Urlaubsbunker. Überwiegend Engländer, darauf ist auch das Frühstück ausgerichtet (sehr mäßig).
