“Lovely hotel overall!”

When I arrived the hotel couldn't find my reservation, thus expedia obvoisuly didn't follow up with the hotel. The hotel, in spite of being fully booked, was nice enough to put me up in a suite. They are friendly and helpful. The spa was amazing! The pools are lovely and the bar, both poolside and at night, were full of good cheer. The hotel itself is very reasonable, although I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at all! Overpriced, food cold and the coffee, horrible, it comes out of a machine. The service too, was poor. The hotel is situated in an easy access area, with shops outside for your convinence, plus a free shittle bus to the local village where there are lots of good restaurants. There are also lots of activities available from the hotel. Overall an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend it and return there.

“Lovely quiet hotel for a relaxing holiday”

Lovely hotel, food was fresh & healthy and plenty of it, but we became a bit tired of it during the second week. The hotel was a little out of the resort, a good 30 minute walk to shops and restaurants. However a free courtesy was provided by the hotel and local buses to Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen stopped outside the hotel. Overall the holiday was great, the staff and cleanliness of the hotel were excellent.

“Generally satisfactory”

Overall good quality hotel. Very good food. Parts of the hotel were dusty and the rooms need redecoration, but generally clean. Helpful multilingual staff.

“Great place to stay”

Lovely hotel, staff were extremely nice and helpful (one exception the miserable female at the poolside bar!) The three pools nice and plenty to do if inclined. The town, only a 10 minute walk or two in a taxi, is nice with a great choice of restaurant.

“Love to go back”

This was a very nice hotel.Yes,it was a little distance from the town but the hotel provided a bus service to the local town where there's a nice beach and resturants/bars. Very clean hotel from the Reception Area to The Rooms. The cleaners were on the go all throughout the day. Food was very good, plenty of choice (Hot or Cold). All thee staff were very hard working and when you asked for something they would try to accommodate if they could(Even the gardener helped us at one point) Though we didn't have children with us it seemed that the children were entertained from Morning to Evening. An all round hotel for all people(couples or families) We totally enjoyed this hotel.

“Spring Holiday May 2008”

We stayed at the Hotel Barcelo Lanzarote during the third week of May 2008. The hotel was super in every way - value, food, cleanliness, room sizes etc. The entertainment was great for kids but a bit 'kiss me quick' for adults, the town itself was quite a walk so if you were after night life and bars this wasn't the hotel for you but if you were prepared to jump into a taxi it wasn't far away. There was only one thing that stopped me from giving the hotel 10/10 across the board and that was the attitude of the staff, certainly the bar and restaurant staff were very miserable and unhelpful. We even heard one amused holiday maker ask for 'one wine, 2 beers and a smile if possible'!!! which I thought just about summed up the attitude of the staff. Other than that you can't go far wrong.

“Lovely lovely”

Comfortable resort hotel, with good facilities & serving great food, but no matter how good the decor, there was never enough staff to deal with all the guests. Whether it was to get a coffee at the pool bar, or make an enquiry at reception the staff were always too rushed, even though the hotel was no more than 70% full. However, they were always smiling & keen to help. I would love to go back, especially for the great sea view from my room in Block 4, the sound of doves cooing in the morning & the giant butterflies in the fantastic gardens!

“A pleasant gateway to Costa Teguise”

Barcelo Lanzarote is the first hotel as you enter Costa Teguise from the south and with the residential blocks making a horseshoe around the central activity area is impressive. From there, is a courtesy bus to central and beach areas as well as bus stop right outside and taxis on rank along with choice of car hire. Many would happily stay by the pools and not venture out to explore. All inclusive is popular and the meals provided buffet style have a very good range, well prepared. There is a high standard of cleanliness including crockery and cutlery. An in house team provide the bulk of the entertainment with enthusiasm and children seemed well catered for on outside observation and nightly shows in bar and stage are a good way to relax at end of day. The only caution I would offer is that although there are some elevators, the place is frustratingly multi level which may help to stop noise between rooms but mean if you have walking mobility issue you can hardly avoid some stairwells to struggle through. Overall this is a hotel to be booked for repeat visits in a good location
