“Good for the Money”

We rented for one night while up visiting our college student. The hotel was better than we had expected. The room has a small refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner stove and an assortment of dishes, pots, silverware, etc. We didn't need this, but it was a nice plus. The bed was comfortable, but only a double. They don't offer King beds, which would have been nice. The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. Would definitely stay again for the price.

“Stan's review”

Great hotel with great service. Very isolated from other services, but next to the Executive conference center of MSU...which does have a business center and a restaurant, and in the summer swimming pool. Also, has a day spa which is accessible to hotel guests. Good value for the dollars.

“MSU Suites was economical, convenient, clean and friendly.”

I would definitely stay here again--nice area, nice room, friendly people. We got in late due to a delay in connections at the airport, but we were greeted warmly. The desk clerk even recommended a good order-out pizza shop that would deliver after 11pm when we finally got in.

Area recommendations

The area around Michigan State has the most shopping. The university itself is beautiful.

“Great location, great value”

I did not even take advantage of most of the amenities but Candlewood Suites was a great value for my trip. Having a suite was more than I needed but it was far less expensive than a regular hotel room and was very comfortable. On my next trip to East Lansing, I will definately look into staying at the Candlewood Suites again!

“Great stay”

Our room was very comfortable. We never heard any exterior noises even though the hotel seemed busy. Would stay again!

“Very impressed”

Comfortable, quiet hotel ideal for both MSU and the City of Lansing. Staff are friendly, and the room was more than adequate. Water pressure in the shower was low, but there was plenty of hot water.

“Remote and Tired”

Facility needs a refurb. Trash was flowing over in trash receptacles on first day we arrived and was there the nest day. Room was tired and worn. Bed layout with recliner made it difficult to use either the bed (two people) or the chair (too close). Would only stay here again if I was going to play golf at MSU (location).
