“Nice place”

We enjoyed staying at the hotel and the staff were all very polite and very friendly. No hesitation going back again.

Hotel setting is lovely, and the beach is really great. What lets it down is how tired the rooms are, don't get me wrong they are comfortable and totally adequate just not very plush.

The hotel was in a great location, on the beach and a short taxi ride (10-15mins) to main shopping centres. The room was quite large with a balcony looking out to the pool area and it was very clean. Food was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. On the downside, the airconditioning in the room was noisy. I recommend this as a good hotel to stay at on Lankawi island.

We stayed from 23/5/10 to 31/5/10. I received a great rate from Expedia which included buffet breakfast. I was a little concerned about the hotel's quality before I arrived. On arrival, staff were courtious and efficient. The room I was given was around the back of the resort overlooking gardens and a pond. It was very quiet in this section of the hotel which suited me. The room was very clean but did need to be refurbished. The pool area is very large and wonderful. We ate at the beach bar once and found the food below average. Breakfast had a very good selection to cater for people from different cultures. I thought the hotel was good value for money.

“Not bad for the price”

We just came back from Langkawi after spending 5 nights (8th-13th Feb) at the Holiday Villa. Buffet breakfast had a wide selection of food. Pool area was nice although you must go out in the morning and place a towel on your sun bed as they fill up very fast.The airconditioner leaked in our room and it took hours for the maintenance guy to come and fix it. It's 8ringgit per 30 minutes on the internet, you pay at reception and give you a key although 90% of the time the room is open so you can just use it for free. There's a restaurant across the road called Cactus, it's open for breakfast I think and then re-opens at 4pm, great food and extremely cheap. It's about a 15minute was to Cenang although there's not too much to do there. There are restaurants, a few massage places and The Zon Duty Free store.

“Would love to go back to Langkawi”

Lankawi is a beautiful island and the hotel is good for a 3 star, it is a bit over priced for the star rating. Also I had a problem with the staff giving out my room number to an outside call. I did not know the person who called me and the staff at holiday villa could not tell where the call come from.
