“A nice, cheap Langkawi hotel”

The hotel provided exactly what I was looking for, at an attractive price. Breakfast was a little pricey (by Malaysian standards) but the room was very nice. There were only two things I didn't like: 1) since Malaysia is a Muslim country, a number of Mosques play the prayers out over loudspeakers at all 5 (I think) prayer times. There's a mosque right next to the hotel so I was woken up quite early a couple of times. And 2) Since Malaysia has a tropical climate, there are bugs everywhere, this includes (very) small bugs in my hotel room. Apart from that the hotel was very nice and I had no problems with my stay there.

“Budget Hotel”

The hotel staff were super, and respectful, entrance very quaint, but upkeep of corridors to rooms could be improved. Plumbing in my room was awful, but it was cleaned well and it was private. This hotel is very basic but you get what you pay for so I had no problem, if you are looking for Western comforts book else where. They do have wi fi in the lobby at a cost. Malaysian tv only.

Area recommendations
I was happy in the area I was in and Taxi's are no problem as they will fetch you from the hotel and no haggling regarding the price as the hotel does all of that for you.
