“A wonderful discovery”

Lots of commenters feel driven to reveal their bona fides in making a valuation of a hotel so here are mine: International business traveler, Pacific to Europe and most points in between. This hotel is a gem. For those who decided to criticize the service, this is a BOUTIQUE type hotel. There are no ten bell hops to rush you in, no flunkies to fall at your feet for a tip, no gazillion sqaure foot lobbies, crowded restaurants, noisy bars. All of these facilites are what is needed not wretched excess. There is intimate atmosphere, soft lighting, neat rooms, great beds - a few stays at the biggies and this place is wonderful. Staff service is all that is necessary. Seemed to me that staff assumed that one is not a moron and can comprehend a straight answer. When I drop by Lancaster, from now on, I stay - and my family stays - no where else.

“Amazing Restoration”

The building and restoration was so beautiful. Our rate included a continental breakfast that was lovely. The room was HUGE and had a fridge! Windows actually opened. I travel 150 nights a year and this hotel was a beautiful as any I have stayed. Very quiet. Nothing in walking distance but we went to outlets and Hershey Park so conveinient to both. Ammenities were great. Only thing that was weird - poor quality sheets which did not match the caliber of hotel. Restaurant on site is amazing.

“I will return to this lovely hotel”

Beautiful hotel. Loved the bedding, the tiled bathroom and shower, the exposed brick outer wall and vaulted ceiling in my room--great place. Met up with some folks in the elevator who were return visitors, and they expressed how much they loved the hotel, as well. We will return!

“Romantic getaway hotel.”

My husband and I enjoyed this new hotel very much. The bed was extremely comfortable, the atmosphere of the entire hotel was full of character and warmth. Very rustic and in an older part of town that used to be industrial. All renovation is now almost completed- we plan on staying here every time we visit Lancaster. Staff very helpful and friendly. Reasonable rates. We did not get to eat in their restaurant but the menu was inviting. It was also very quiet.

“Great find”

Excellent value. This was a very pleasant surprise. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, as is the restaurant. The Cork Factory is a gem.

“Nice Hotel!”

We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Cork Factory. All the staff members we encountered were very friendly. We especially appreciated that the complimentary shampoo, soap, etc. were all biodegradable and in environmentally friendly packaging. We stayed on the fourth floor and had extra high ceilings with huge wooden planks...very nice!
