Hotel was fine and staff were amazing, only problem was getting access to bedrooms, you first have to get the lift to your floor then walk around corners before you then have to go downstairs to get to the bedroom which is not accessible for a family with a pushchair and luggage, luckily when returning to reception they were able to move us to a more accessible room.

Join a real life episode of Faulty Towers!

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: room size good, bathroom clean, jacuzzi bath, vending machine to buy crisps and chocolate for your evening meal car parking
Cons: Demolish the hotel and rebuild it!!, no minor repair of decoration is going to make any difference to this place.
Location: right on the seafront, tram across the road, quiet area but not far from the centre
We had a truly epic stay, it`s like staying in a real life episode of faulty towers, it`s a three star hotel, it`s massive yet the restaurant opens at 5.30pm and closes at 7.30pm, yes 2 hours!!, after 7.30 the staff hand you a takeaway pizza menu and you call for a takeaway...Really!!! The hotel was beautifully decorated....in 1964 and stayed the same since!.....the floor in reception is like a rollercoaster it has hills! If you get a room at the far side of the hotel, you will need a map or take a satnav as you will never find your way back to freedom, its a total maze with poor signposting The reception was surprised in the morning that I wanted towels in my room, they seemed to think that you dont need towels! Breakfast advertised on Expedia advert at 5 Pounds each, but it is actually 8.50 each Despite the above, the price was good and the rooms were ok, it was really funny watching the goings on in reception, you couldnt get a better comedy show in Blackpool! Internet in reception and close by only

Don't believe everything you read

Pros: Staff very friendly, cost of drinks average, entertainment sounded good (caught the end of it ). Good atmosphere.
Cons: Hotel had all the facilities we needed for a short break. We booked a room only basis as we like to eat out but the food looked very nice.
From the check-in to specific requests this hotel did not fail. The only gripe we had was the view out of the window - roofs and seagulls (obviously the latter couldn't be helped however if my hubby had an air gun it would have been a lot quieter) . Having stayed in loads of hotels over the past 50 years - where en-suite facilities meant a cupboard which required arranging your body in a variety of poses in order to use it - to a 5 star hotel (no way) - the Norbreck falls somewhere in the middle. Size of the room more than adequate, furniture old but still fully functional i.e. plenty of hangers and doors/drawers closed. I bet you're all wondering what the 'specific request' was? Asked the girl in reception for more toilet paper. She rang housekeeping and by the time we reached our room 2 were delivered. That's what I call service! Well done!!!

Ok for the price

Hotel was what you should expect for the price. Staff were pleasant and check in was quick. Plenty of free parking on site. Room was dated but clean. Could hear every noise in corridor, would not be keen to stay in peak season.

Too far out of the town.

Pros: Our room had plenty of space and a lovely sea view. The room was clean also.
Cons: It needs decorating and modernising.Bring it up to standard.
Location: Too far out for the main resort.
the meals could have been better. The drinks at the bar were far too expensive.

Best part about our hotels was the sea view

Posted 29-May-2015
Room wasn't clean, shower fell off the wall, had air blowing in from outside through the windows. Draws were broken, no information pack about the hotel, and had to pay £2 per person for use of the swimming pool
