Shabby but not chic!!

Room really shabby and in need of redecorating, clean enough though with the basics, nothing fancy, got a late deal so no complaints, seems like a lively hotel with plenty going on.

Cheap and cheerful

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Hotel room to hot from pipes running through it. Water leaked through ceiling in bathroom. Fire alarm went off at 23.15 false alarm but no one told anyone what was happening. Lack of security ment drunk people crashing around at all hours. glasses and bottles everywhere. Lack of parking. On the plus side. Staff friendly. Breakfast ok.

Great if you get a good price

Hotel is a lot better than expected and a whole lot better than some other hotels in blackpool that we have stopped in. Breakfast is plentiful but not fantastic quality but for less then £16 b&b per night cannot fault

Hotel of horrors.

Posted 27-Feb-2015
My Mum and I arrived hoping to relax in the room for a while before exploring Blackpool. Check in was efficient and friendly, but when we got to our room we found it dirty, with chunks of enamel issuing from the bath, wallpaper peeling, and damage to walls and furniture wherever you laid your eyes. After speaking to reception we were offered another room, this however was worst than the first. We told them that we would not be staying and wanted a refund. So instead of relaxing we had to spend time finding alternative accommodation.

It is a lovely big hotel, with lot to do :) altho pool was closed, and our room altho was for 3 people only had enough stuff for 1 person. Ask hotel for more and never got it, room was cleanish but under the beds was dirty and stuff was left in the draws from previous people...

Tired and dated

Posted 21-Feb-2015 on Hotels.com
OK, so the hotel's cheap, but there is good reason for this. The hotel looks and feels tired and dated. The room itself was comfortable and generally clean. Basic facilities - tea and coffee, and a TV that could only get BBC 1 and 2, ITV and C4. Lack of wi-fi in bedrooms, but there is free wi-fi in the bar area, albeit a rather slow connection. However, this isn't a hotel if you want peace and quite. Every time a door was allowed to close itself there was a loud bang. There was also a lot of noise from the water pipes when people in the next room turned on taps, etc. There was also a door between my room and the one next door which let a lot of sound through. Breakfast was buffet style with cereal, fruit and cooked selection. The cooked breakfast was not the best. Bacon that was all stuck together, very fatty sausages that you could still taste at lunch time. The hotel also has function rooms. My room was right above one of these and on the 1st night there was a reunion which involved entertainment and disco. This caused a lot of noise in my room. The hotel did offer to move me to a different room, but given the late hour I really didn't want the hassle of having to pack up, move to a new room and then unpack again. This is something the hotel really needs to pay some thought to as I do not think it is fair to allow such events that are going to cause a disturbance to hotel guests. All in all, not a hotel I would return to in a hurry!

dreadful customer service - shame. stay a lot

we use this hotel regularly as a family due to proximity to relatives. this stay was a fiasco. treated mum and a friend to b&b prepaid via hotel.com. then spent the evening trying to sort out with the hotel why they'd charged them again at check in!
