Nice hotel

Very clean hotel. Comfortable beds. The free wifi is not as easy as you would think. You have to sign up for the cloud. The bar is very nice.

Could 'av been better

Old windows need replacement as sound proofing in our room poor for blocking out road noise. Disappointed at breakfast - small portions, waiter service missed requests from guests and early finish time of 0930. Definitely not worth retail price of £17 !! Ensure you order in discount room rate and even then you might question VFM when comparing to competitors. Not a bad hotel but need to up their game all round to keep up with the competition and justify their tarrif. Good staff & location

Easy access to a wonderful location. Bedroom was excellent- extremely comfortable bed, fine white linen, two comfortable armchairs, big TV, coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast on Saturday was wonderful, although buffet on Sunday and Monday not quite so good. Certainly not poor but Saturday was brilliant. Make sure you try the Danish pastries (just one little one of course!). Dining room bit pricey, but very good. Lots of interesting places to visit very close at hand. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and charming.

Really disappointed with my one night stay at hotel After a 4 1/2 hour drive from London there was no record of my booking when I tried to check in . Luckily I had my email confirmation with me but it still took a while to get sorted and was very frustrating Then once in the room there was no air conditioning ! The room was very hot as it was a hot day 28 degrees outside. when I enquiried whether I could get a fan at reception I was told there wasn't any There was also a wedding at the hotel and the music was very loud and went on until the early hours of the morning . I tried to change rooms so I was more away from the music but was told there were no rooms spare ! Had an uncomfortable hot night in a room that had loud music playing nearby !!!!! Then at breakfast I spoke to waiter to esquire what gluten free food was available as I am gluten intolerant only to be told the I my thing I could eat was melons ( which incidentally didn't look fresh ) and I would be charged £7.50 . I was not impressed !!!!! A very unsatisfactory stay at hotel and I will not be recommending your hotel to anyone I know !

Close to motorway

Pros: Location was good. Food in restaurant was good, staff very courteous and receptionist helpful on arrival. Lovely setting. Quiet and relaxing stay.
Cons: Rooms were very warm. Air conditioning needed.Accessible rooms should have twin beds not only a double.
Location: We were travelling on to Wales. Did not explore surroundings.
A welcoming hotel, friendly staff, comfortable. A good range of food and breakfast options. Rural setting close to main routes.

We didn't spend much time at the hotel but the room was very comfortable, extremely clean and was large enough to accommodate four people. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
