We stayed two nights which included a full English buffet breakfast which was excellent, we also dined in the restaurant and again, we were very pleased with the service and quality.
We benefited from some lovely weather so we spent a lot of time on the bar patio area and also around the front grounds of the hotel, which were all very well maintained and attractive.
We would not hesitate to return for another visit in the future.
this hotel is brilliant, nothing is to much for them the staff are great and i comend the 24 hour room service, the room was comfy with a lovely bed and soft pillows,we went for a swim, the only thing i would say is that i am disabled and would of loved to have gone in the jaccuzi but, didnt feel comfortable with the steps to get in to it maybe a exta rail put up at the side to help people like my self. but all in all a great hotel
Stayed here with my wife for a couple of nights and we both had a great time. The staff were all excellent and helpful, always smiling and conversational, all of them. Our room which was a 'standard' room was very nice, very clean, comfortable and all that should have worked did work.
I would have no hesitation staying again or recommending it friends and family.
Really welcoming and friendly. Service from staff was always good and personal. Food in bar was tasty. Nice and well equipped rooms with biscuits and tea/coffee making facilities. Also really nice hand wash, shampoo and body lotion in the bathrooms. I didn't use the spa facilities but my friends said they were excellent, particularly the outside hot tub.
Very good breakfast!
Feeling of being a member of extended family at a small country house gathering. Immediately felt welcome. Hotel felt indulgent in an 'old school' way - log fire always burning in one of the lounge rooms, attentive service from staff on reception and at the bar.
Though without some of the facilities (pool, spa, etc.) which are now the norm at a lot of hotels in this price bracket, we did not miss them at all. Room and bathroom were excellent, with touches of luxury.

The hotel was very clean warm and welcoming. For the third year in a row we were upgraded to a family room without asking or incurring any additional cost. The staff were also very friendly and professional. The breakfasts were great too.
