“Great hotel”

The Legacy Preston is within walking distance of the train Station and main downtown attractions (shopping, pubs, bookstores, Harris museum, etc.). The hotel staff was friendly. The room was very clean. The bed was super comfortable. Very nice complimentary breakfast. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Had heard that some people had a problem with the car park charges but we thought it was very straight forward - you tap in your car registration in the hotel reception. Hotel was very good and breakfast excellent .. about the only hotel that offers figs...yummy!

The room is clean and the space design is good.

Area around the hotel does not look good but the hotel was lovely and very modern. We had room service for dinner and the food was excellent.

Hotel built 2008. Ideal location next to UCLAN lecture rooms. Road/rail noise not a problem I had a road/rail bird’s eye view; for many the double glazing would not be enough. No air con. Room spotless- very soft warm bed. Best TV choice in 23years of hotel stops - I don't watch it! Free wifi on daily password - very convenient for studying. Breakfast buffet exactly what you expect. Cheap bulk buy in plus fresh fruit - shame no fresh fruit salad. For a veggie I would have preferred some potatoes or hash browns with the eggs/mush/toms. The food is not replenished very quickly. Hotel build quality appalling. I heard every footstep of my neighbours and their bathroom habits right down the running a bath, sitting in it, swashing water about. Curtains being drawn. Lights turned off. All said - I would stay again as the price was very competitive - if I'd paid more than a cheap nasty Blackpool B&B I'd be shouting from the rooftops. This is a new build – what’s gone wrong? The room shakes, the desk shudders as others close their door or walk across their bedroom. Next week I’m back to the Preston Travelodge. This hotel presents as a cheap group motel with a veneer finish. Their website prices suggest a luxurious experience – I’d been desperate to afford to stay here! As I stay at least one - two nights a week in Preston this hotel shot themselves in the foot when they gave a three night stop over the worst room they'd got because they'd not taken top dollar for the tills.

“Not Impressed Sorry”

Feels like a hotel planned and designed in the boom but was built when the economic crash happened, so they decided to do a rush job and not finish off the rooms properly and forgot to add a proper restaurant. On an annoying one way street that my Sat Nav could not find the entrance to, in the middle of a block of student flats, who overlook the car park - this is a a pleasant looking hotel which cannot possibly succeed based on the high price they charged me. The room spec was ok but the finishing was rubbish and there were clear snags that had not yet been fixed and it looked like nobody cared either. After failing to get my food for an age - I watched the chef leaning over the bar in front of all the guests and tell a stressed member of the bar staff that none of the ingredients on the menu were in stock... The duty manager was kind enough, apologised a lot and gave me a complimentary drink so at least he did the best he could....but really it was not acceptable. I should have stayed at a Premier Inn and I would have had a better experience and saved £30.00 on the cost....

“Comfortable and Friendly”

The hotel is very comfartable and the staff have been friendly and helpful. The room has everything you need including a nice freeview flat screen TV and free wireless internet. The breakfast buffet is great with everything you need and good quality food.

“will definitely use this hotel next time we go to Preston”

arrived late at night and not very easy to get to, due to the one way system. Night entrance button did not seem to be working. However when we eventually got to our room we were very pleasantly surprised. Excellent in all ways- breakfast was good- our daughter joined us- all staff were very helpful and cheerful - car parking good - handy for town. All in all a very happy experience.

Very good location. New and clean. Breakfast was reasonably good too.
