Very friendly family hotel in great location

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Great location. Super family friendly hotel. Have stayed here many times over the last 25 years. Excellent facilities for children. Public areas are looking very smart! Time to do something with the breakfast/ carvery area now please! Food very acceptable particularly by the pool. Even when it rains there's always something to do there! Some of the family bedrooms do need a complete makeover now but always an excellent stay.

Good family hotel

Posted 02-Aug-2014
Pros: Excellent pool area and facilities for children.
Cons: Our room needed refurbishment - very tired with peeling wallpaper and threadbare carpets
Location: Excellent location opposite the beach - pier and town a few minutes walk from hotel.
Excellent facilities for children, good sized pool with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Spacious hotel with pleasant bar areas. Needs some refurbishment especially bedrooms - our room overlooking the beach was very tired with peeling wallpaper and threadbare carpets. Layout of breakfast buffet could be improved - everything too close - unable to get to coffee machine due to close vicinity of toaster. Overall a good family hotel very close to the beach.

Great family hotel

Posted 03-Nov-2013
Pros: Pool, entertainment, spacious room.
Cons: Reminder of the rooms to be renovated.
We've stayed at The Dalmeny hotel a couple of times before and it never fails to please. The kids love the entertainment at night, and the pool is great for rainy days. There's enough to do in St Annes's for a couple of days, with the beach, amusements on the pier, playground on the prom, Lowther Gardens, bowling and cinema. Many of the bedrooms have been redecorated, and we were offered a premier room with sea view and balcony, but actually opted for the standard room, as we got interconnecting rooms with 2 bathrooms, which is great for the kids, and REALLY spacious. The room was in need of redecoration, as it was very 1970s, and the carpet nd sof were very marked, but other than that it was clean. We chose room only, as we like to ave breakfast and dinner out, so that we can be waited on, rather than self service.

Pros: Facilities for children and great pool.
Cons: Old rooms need refurbishing quickly. Can be charged too much for old rooms.
Location: near to St Annes shops, beach and Blackpool.
Family friendly hotel (not for couples) with great facilities for families.

Pros: Great pool and evening entertainment for kids
Cons: dated room
Location: Great Location
We had a good weekend, great for kids on an evening,my son was reluctant at first to go to the disco but once there loved all the games etc, our room was a little disappointing,it was dated and in need of a major revamp and new carpet!! Food downstairs in carvery is ok but nicer upstairs in indigo bar, breakfast is great though lots of choice!
