“Best Value for Money”
Great location and best value for money.
“Probably the best hotel in Blackpool”
A wonderful opulent hotel with wood panelling and chandeliers. Great deal on Expedia. Free WIFI in hotel lobby. Nicely presented bedroom. Lovely breakfast choice, couldn't ask for anything more. Dinner deal £16 for one course, £19.95 for two courses and £23 for three courses. Palm Court restaurant for breakfast and dinner overlooks sea.
“Excellent staff we were well cared for”
We stayed in November for three nights. The "Strictly Come Dancing" show was in blackpool so a the hotels were very busy and we were told that the Imperial was fully booked. All the staff were so very busy but this did not effect their attention to detail and excellent professionalism. The reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I asked for a hairdrier as those usual fitted ones are hopeless and within minutes housekeeping brought a decent one to the room. We had a lovely time here and would definitely stay again. Our room on the third floor, was clean and cosy, but we did overhear a complaint that the fourth floor is not good at all. The breakfast is buffet style and the standard is very good. The restaurant would really be very beautiful if redecorated as it has some lovely features.
“a pleasure at blackpool...”
very friendly ahd helpful staff and a lovely clean room.
“A very enjoyable stay”
I booked a standard room at Barcelo Blackpool Imperial before I read the expedia reviews... so a little worried what I would find on arrival. I am pleased to say I found the place clean, comfortable and friendly. I travel often for work and expect a certain standard but the Imperial didn't disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet and comfortable beds. I would suggest requesting a room on the upper floor if concerned about the kitchen or function noise mentioned in other reviews, but otherwise recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Blackpool.
“Bad Music Taste”
Superb Hotel,Very old building which retains its charm, however one thing spolit the overall service and that was the very bad music played over the loudspeakers at Breakfast Time, not required and very distasteful
“Nice Hotel”
We upgraded to a superior room. It was smaller than expected, it had a wardrobe but no drawer unit. However it did have a lovely sea view. We did not notice any noise from adjacent rooms. We ordered a morning newspaper, but this was delivered on only one of the three days we stayed there. The staff were all friendly and breakfast staff in particular were very efficient. The quality of the breakfast could not be faulted either. The hotel is only a short walk to the North Pier(5 minutes) and the Tower(10 Minutes).
“NOT TO BAD BUT NOT THE BEST”
Not bad for a weekend the breakfast was very good. The room was quite large with no view to speak of. The bar was expensive with not a lot of seats. We have stayed in Barcelo hotels in Barcelona and Blackpool is nothing close to the quality you get there.
“The best in Blackpool”
Not 100% perfect but still an impressive Victorian classic hotel. Staff were great and food was OK. Great rates out of season !
“Not impressed”
Had a couple of problems identified and reported immediately but the problem with a sink being partially blocked was not resolved and no explanaion was given. As we had paid a bit extra to upgrade room it was doubly disappointing
