“Great little hotel!”
We were very pleased with our stay at the Big Pines Mountain House. The hotel is nice, clean and confortable. I would definitely stay there again.
“Good for the price. Really clean.”
My wife wanted to stay there longer. (And she usually wants out real quick!) We were impressed by the cleanliness of the room. Very comfy, with all the in room amenities. (Dryer, iron, safe, Micro and fridge, coffee maker...) Will be back.
“No Internet ! / No Breakfast / it's only good location.”
Lousy internet service - can't use it !!! Lousy breakfast - noting to eat 1 The only good word to say is good location and easy free parking.
“Solid OK”
The last time we stayed here we had a great trip - clean, quiet room, good value and good service. This time it was a little less pleasant, probably because of the increased activity due to the season. There were several loud guests, and it was not possible to find a quiet room. Service was fine, and value was still pretty good. Beds are very comfortable.
“Good place to stay in Lake Tahoe!”
Fast check-in, room was huge! Got like 5 pillows on the bed, bed was very comfortable, there was a little room for toilet and shower, another for the sink, vanity mirror & closet... fridge, microwave oven and coffee maker with a couple of ceramic coffee mugs. The room was so clean.
“big pines a great hidden jewel except...”
Me and my girlfriend had went up to lake tahoe for a 3 day weekend and had planned to stay Thursday night but when we had arrived at around 10 o' clock the main office was closed...we had seen a number to call so we did and got a voicemail, Left a message and never received a return call back from the night manager. We ended up staying down the street at 7 seas and that particular inn was ok. Since I had been charged already for 3 nights at big pine I was concerned about getting my money back for thurs night so I had walked down the street to big pines in 40 degree weather to experience the worst customer service ever. I asked if I would b charged for the night I wasn't there...never got a straight answer said I would haveto talk to a manager. They said they had left the keys in a mail box and had my name printed out on a regular piece of printer paper and posted it on the window....never had seen it...and who does that and how am I suppose to know that? The one woman than proceeded to show me the piece of paper and said, can you read that? Rude... ended up getting half my money back from them for that night and expedia covered the rest...horrible experience...good rooms but terrible customer service
“Will Be Back!”
We had not been here before and thought we'd give it a shot. We were a little skeptical but the room we booked was MUCH larger than we expected!! The bathroom was a little small for 4 of us, but we managed. It was a short (not even 5 minute) walk to the casinos which was a HUGE plus!! The room was well-kept, comfortable and clean. It had a microwave and a small refrigerator, which is more than I can say for some hotels I've stayed at and paid well over what I paid here! The staff was also pleasant and accommodating. We will DEFINITELY be going back!!!
“Really good Hotel.”
Nice Hotel
“Good place to stay at a good price.”
Rooms are very well kept and very comfortable. Hotel is situated just two blocks off the main strip, but depending on your requirements most restaurants are still a 5minute drive away. The lake itself is very close, just a 2minute stroll will get you there. There is a coin laundry on site and breakfast and Wi-Fi is included. Although, the breakfast is usually a rather simple affair.
“Pretty good!”
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was not too shabby, and was clean. The employees were reasonably well informed and helpful.
