It is ok if you cannot find any other hotel
The place would need renovation and service is not very friendly. It is really just if you must sleep somewhere in Mikkeli. The staff doesn't try to make anything better. At least July this was anyway very expensive (almost 200 euro) and definitely it was not value for money.

Thanks for your stay and review. Forgive us that we failed in our service. We do our best to succeed better in future. Last renovation was made 2008 and I agree it would be great to renew our place soon. Occupancy has been very high for two weeks, thats why rates are also higher.

Hello! Thanks for your visit and comments. We have 12 different room categories ( room sizes 8m2 - 28m2 ) to choose. I am sorry, that hotel is old. Hopefully some day in future we can have renovation. Welcome again soon!

Friendly service, good location, nice restaurant
Very friendly check-in staff. The room was large and clean, with separate rooms for the WC and for the shower. Two queen beds pushed together made for an almost too large bed with poor electrical outlet placement. The TV was tiny for such a large room. The restaurant was very nice, with great service and delicious food!

Not really worth the money spent
Not really worth the money. We paid extra to get double bed and when we arrived, the staff told that we get three single beds. And joked about it.

Comfortable, clean, great location.
Try the sauna but remember the etiquette is no swimming costume! The room was clean and comfortable. It would be better if you could have an iron in the room rather than having to go down to the bottom floor. The location is also ideal - across from many restaurants and a large supermarket. I had to leave at 4am on the final morning, and was very pleased that the hotel could accommodate a cooked breakfast at this time!

Excellent hotel.
This is my third time living in this the hotel and I enjoyed my holidays always. The staff were all friendly and receptive. The breakfast buffet has a sufficient spread of food and I would wish if there can be some variations on alternate days. I wanted to swim but the water was too cold during winter and I played table tennis instead. Thank you for making my holidays memorable and look forward to staying there again.

Comfortable hotel in the centre of Mikkel
Easy access, handy parking free of charge. Comfortable and tidy room. Very good breakfast, restaurant a bit crowded. Easy access to every part of the town.

Great sleep and even better breakfast.
We were a hausted after our long flight from western Canada so we greatly appreciated such a great night sleep in very comfortable beds with great pillows. In the morning our complimentary breakfast far exceeded our expectations. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel! Conveniently located!
This hotel is incredibly close to the train/bus station which is why I chose it. I didn't want to have to walk too far with my luggage and I didn't want to spend money on transportation. The room, itself, was nice and clean. The hotel staff was helpful and allowed me to keep my bags there all day after I checked in and even allowed me to charge my phone and computer when I returned. The breakfast was AMAZING!! Overall, great value for the price.

Town centre hotel
My room was fine - though a bit spartan. I had booked an economy room though so that was fair. Bed was very comfortable, tv worked well with plenty of channels, wifi good. No creature comforts like coffee making facilities. Bathroom very compact but the water pressure in the shower was exceptional and it was spotless (I think probably recently refurbished). Good parking up a ramp at the side of the hotel. Bit disappointed with the breakfast as the choice seemed quite limited.

Disappointed!
We only planned to stay one night anyway. Beds were poor -very thin. Mattress only 5. Cm thick!! Also I asked for a box of Kleenex for the room and these are only provided for superior rooms I was told!! I was charged over $140.xx CDN and no Kleenex! I suggest you stay somewhere else! The breakfast was very good!

Great Place to spend a night
we needed an overnight while traveling in Finland. The hotel was in a good location, very comfortable, very clean, and we had an excellent breakfast. We would stay there again.

Very basic hotel
This hotel is in the centre of Mikkeli, a small town of 40,000 inhabitants. Very basic and dated, but there are not many places to choice from in Mikkeli. Free WIFI and sauna.

Overpriced
The room was small but we booked a small double so fair enough. However, the so called 'double' bed was small and felt more like a temporary bed, with thin bedding and the sheet wasn't even big enough to cover it properly. TV picture quality was grainy so I wouldn't bother wasting money on paid for films. The walls are so thin that we were forced to listen to the neighbouring room's nocturnal activities which was really annoying. Cleanliness was just about passable. There was free access to sauna and pool on the night we arrived which s a plus although we didn't go as didn't have swimwear. Free wired wifi, the wireless connection was very cheap at €1.5/12 hours and €2.5/24 hours. The breakfast had a good selection of cooked and cold items. Overall, overpriced at around £85 per night but the hotels in Mikkeli seem all quite expensive.
