I have stayed in a lot of hotels. I usually expect the same thing. Smaller than the photos and not nearly as neat. Well this hotel proved me wrong. It was exceptionally clean and very very quiet. I felt I could have slept on the floor it was so nice. Everything was enjoyable. Nice chairs, great furniture for business stay or family stay. We stayed with our two small boys and they slept perfect all night. And I never felt concerned about them eating things they may have touched the floor or table. It really felt that clean. Highly recommend to anyone! Whether or be family, vacation or business. It was perfect.
Great staff at reception desk and in general. Parking lot is in a beautiful wooded area and within a two-minute walk from two good restaurants/bars. Room was comfortable and fairly spacious. Had trouble with telephone voice recording system and the handyman came right away and fixed it by reprogramming it. Staff at hotel's breakfast restaurant were equally friendly and service orientated.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this motel. The staff was exceptional (especially Natasha!) The gym facility and pool were kept clean and orderly. And the complimentary breakfast was good. I'm not sure if all rooms are equipped with a kitchenette, but it was a bonus for us to have a full-size refrigerator and a cooking top. We made some simple meals in our room (after a few weeks on the road, we were tired of eating out) which was a nice change. We had a great experience during our stay and highly recommend it.
Our first stay at The Lakeshore Inn was perfect because we stayed in the two bedroom - so it was like having an apartment! Two very comfortable queen beds - each in their own room, a nice sized living room with dining area and kitchen. The view was beautiful - expansive! The bathroom was very nice and clean and the location of this hotel is so great! Quiet, next door to all kinds of great restaurants and shops (some of which give discounts to Lakeshore Inn guests). The second time we stayed we were in a one bedroom. It was still very nice, but had a few repairs that needed to be made. Be patient with the wifi - you'll connect eventually.
I really hesitate to stay anywhere else while doing business in the Portland area.
