“A good hotel in a magical destination”

This hotel is very good value for money, with extremely helpful, pleasant staff, a good standard of cleanliness and an excellent breakfast. We have stayed here twice now. It is a longish walk into Orta san Giulio itself (although you can take the trenino) but definitely worth it. The town is absolutely enchanting.

“Santa Catarina mit hervorragendem Frühstück”

Riesige Auswahl von regionalen Produkten in sehr guter Qualität - Käse, Schinken, Obst, Gebäck, Brot, Muesli, Honig, Kaffee, Eier, Gemüse - sehr lobenswert. Die kleine Snackbar mit kostenlosen Getränken und Gebäck vom Frühstück ist ab 15:00 geöffnet. WLan funktioniert auch im 1. Stock gut. Das Hotel ist gute Mittelklasse, aber die Gäste bleiben kaum länger, da die Umgebung in 3 Tagen zu besichtigen ist.

Area recommendations

Der Ort Orta San Guilio ist einen Besuch wert, die Isola weniger. Ein Rundgang zwischen hohen Mauern mit Durchgängen zu Bootssteegen, ein Restaurant, ein Souveniershop - in 20 min gesehen. Die Basilika ist interessant. Die Bootsfahrt mit dem Linienschiff von Orta (nicht private Schlepper!) nach Pella mit kurzem Aufenthalt auf der Insel lohnt sich. Besonders empfehlenswert ist das kaum beachtete Weltkulturerbe auf dem Sacro Monte (20 min zu Fuß). 20 Kapellen mit Fresken und 376 lebensgroße Gipsfiguren erzählen das Leben von Franz von Assisi. Sehr schöne Aussicht über die Insel und den See.

“Gran bella esperienza”

Hotel consigliatissimo: accoglienza ottima, sala break con buffet gratuito a disposizione (caffé, the, tisane, briochine, acqua...). La colazione é stata super, ricchissima e con prodotti di ogni tipo (sia dolci che salati). La struttura é dotata anche di un parcheggio interno. La camera era pulita e ordinata.

“Hotela Santa Caterina - Orta San Giulio”

Hotel carino situato a poche centinaia di metri da Orta San Giulio (centro storico) e Sacro Monte, entrambi raggiungibili comodamente a piedi. Colazione a buffet abbondantissima (mai vista tanta scelta in un hotel!) e per di più c'è la Sala Relax aperta dal pomeriggio a sera dove è possibile prepararsi tè, caffè (anche con snack) gratuitamente. Parcheggio interno all'hotel a pagamento (8€ a notte).
