“Lovely Airconditioned Hotel”

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon after travelling over the Semplon Pass by motorcycle. The weather was hot (35 degrees) and after being greeted at reception by a very friendly English speaking receptionist we were shown our room. The room was wonderful with a view over looking the Lake and a small private balcony. The bath room was well appointed and the bed large and comfortable. The breakfast was self service with plenty of choice. Overall the hotel was first class and couldn't be faulted.

“Recommended”

A comfortable, modern tourist-oriented hotel. Great lake views from the front facing rooms and the double-glazing largely protects against traffic noise from the lakeside road. Out of town, so you need a car to get anywhere (though there is an old-fashioned pizzeria/restaurant up the hill behind the hotel which cooked us a great steak). Breakfast is a low point, with hot drinks coming out of a machine that produced perhaps the most disgusting so-called coffee I have ever tasted.

“Top place to stay”

A modern and extremely clean hotel with excellent facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful, with many languages spoken. Excellent swimming pool and childrens' play area and toy room. Ample free parking, access to the Lake, tunnel to avoid road crossing. Good views of the Lake. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Intra but the walk along a very quiet road parralel to the main road is pleasant. we enjoyed an excellent stay here and our 2 and a half year old son did not want to leave(Nor did we!)

“Sehr laut und Probleme mit Türen und Klimaanlage”

Hotel liegt an vielbefahrener Strasse. Die Türen zur Terrasse auf die Strasse hinaus schliessen nicht richtig. Daher ist es nachts im Ziimmer sehr laut. Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht. Zum Ort kommt man nur mit Auto; zu Fuß lebensgefährlich.

“Trotz Verkehr eine Empfehlung - und gerne wieder”

Wie andere Reisende auch schon berichtet haben, liegt das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Straße - aber auch direkt am See. Da wir es vorher gewusst haben, ist dies in Ordnung und wir haben auch ohne Ohropax sehr gut geschlafen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Auto gut in der Garage untergebracht. Eigener Strand und Pool. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Kleiner Tipp, wer nicht an der Straße nach Verbania-Intra laufen möchte, kann auch über einen romantischen Pfad (Gasse) hinter dem Hotel hinüberlaufen - oder den Bus nehmen.

“Hotel liegt direkt an stark befahrener Straße”

Das Hotel an sich ist in einem ordentlichen Zustand, leider liegt es an einer sehr stark befahrenen Straße, an Schlafen ohne Oropax war nicht zu denken. Auch die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war eher mittelmäßig, wir hatten Haare von den Vorgängern im Bad und im Zimmer auf dem Boden. Nachteilig ist ebenfalls, dass es nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit nicht möglich ist das Hotel zu Fuß zu verlassen oder zu erreichen, da nur ein unbeleuchteter Weg nach Varese führt, den man bei Nacht absolut nicht empfehlen kann (wir haben es einmal "gewagt", es ist stockdunkel)d.h. man muss immer mit dem Auto zum Essen fahren.

“Eines der wenigen Hotels mit einem Pool”

Hotel liegt am Stadtrand ortsteil INTRA, Eine Pizzeria in Laufnaehe, Fruehstueck italienisch, doch der Kaffee koennte besser sein. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit

Area recommendations

Auf Jeden fall eine Bootsfahrt zu einer der Borromaeischen Inseln, Die Fahrt ist es wert.
