“Easy to find. Great room and service.”

Very close to train station, no need to catch a cab. Located in the Old Town, which we enjoyed staying at. Staff were fantastic in helping us with recommendations on things to do, and places to eat. Room was very spacious and even had its own coffee machine, but you need to buy your own milk. Breakfast was fantastic, and they serve real cuppachino's at no extra charge.

Area recommendations
Mt Pilatus was great. Glacier garden and Museum which is next door to the Lion Monument, was interesting - especially the mirror room in the Museum.

“Best Hotel in Lucerne”

It may be lcassed as 3 star but everything about this hotel is defeinitely 5 star. Third time we have stayed there and won't be the last time :-)

The hotel is ideally situated in the old town of Lucerne in a beautiful square which is surrounded by excellent restaurants

“Great hotel in a fabulous location”

This is a basic but clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms in a fabulous location. Highly recommended - got a great deal on a triple room from Expedia.

“Excellent choice”

Travelling by public transport we wanted a place in the old town but near the main station and the lake and this filled the bill. Stayed 4 nights in a smallish but comfortable room overlooking the charming square. No noise problems. Breakfast buffet was good and a very reasonably priced evening menu was offered 5 times a week, which was a bonus as generally restaurants were horrifically expensive. Would happily stay here again.

“Great Breakfast in Old City”

We liked the free breakfast!! We really liked the hotel but for people with mobility issues it's a bit challenging. Note that there's no air conditioning - just a large fan. We used the fan every day during our June 3-day stay and it was fine. Although it wasn't a problem for us, the elevator is tiny.

Area recommendations
We liked the Old City area. You must go up Mt. Pilatus on the Golden Roundtrip.
Getting around
Can be challenging for people with mobility issues. I'd recommend taking a taxi to the hotel for 10 chf+. (The front desk didn't think the bus was a good option) Once you know where you are it's not hard to find the hotel again on foot. It's a 10-minute walk from the train station - cobblestones and 1 set of steps. The location was great for walking within the old city area.

“Clean, Good Location, but Small Room”

Single Room - Room is small even by European standard, but acceptable. Very Clean. Though it is not a full buffet style breakfast, there are enough different variety of food to choose from. Conveniently located.

“Average”

My wife and I stayed here on our 10th wedding anniversary. The hotel is in the Old City. This was one of the biggest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in in Europe. It was very clean as well. The downside? The amenities specifically state: Laundry Facilities." Really? Not in this hotel. We had to take our laundry to a nearby laundromat. It cost us 42CHF ($45USD) to wash TWO loads of laundry. The hotel offered a laundry service at a much higher rate. If I had known that, I would have made other arrangements. I specifically booked this hotel because of the laundry facilities. Also, we didn't sleep well because of the drunks yelling outside (everything echoes in the Old City). As far as the hotel itself, it was very nice with a decent breakfast--the croissants ROCKED! Overall, This was a nice hotel. BEWARE: bring a LOT of money, as this city is expensive.

We were in Lucerne to take a tour to the Jungfraujoch---this is a MUST SEE!!! The tour was OUTSTANDING!!!

“Great location”

We have stayed at the Krone before due to it's ideal location in the old town of Lucerne. Restaurants & bars abound and it is great to spend time sitting at a table by the waterfront. Cars are not allowed to remain by the hotel but the valet service and parking arranged by the hotel was great. We are an older couple who found all facilities within easy walking distance.

“Great Breakfast, Nice Location”

The only problem with the room is in the bathroom...Is very small to take a shower every time we drop the shower... We can eat in the breakfast Nutella, Cold Chocolate, Capuccino and other drinks...Very nice persons in the breakfast.
