“Superb hotel, fab location!!”

We had a fabulous stay ay the Ameron Hotel Flora, the staff were really helpful and passed on recommendations of where to eat and places to visit. Heart chocolate on the beds were a lovely touch, the hotel is very swish and very clean. The breakfast is too die for and the drinks were actually cheaper then the majority of the restaurants, which is a first for me. I would recomend the hotel highly, we enjoyed our stay and its location is in the heart of the city, just 2 mins walk from the sights.

“Great location”

The location is terrific. You can walk to the hotel from the rail station and the hotel is within a block of the chapel bridge and tower. We could see them from our balcony. The front desk staff was very helpful. Extra amenities like fresh fruit that you wouldn't find in most hotels. I would stay here again.

Dining

Pfistern fondue restaurant is an outdoor restaurant serving 100 types of fondue. The chairs have sheepskins and blankets to keep you warm and they bring heated pillows for your hands. The hot mulled wine is delicious! This restaurant is quite an experience.

“Sleep to the sound of the loud disco next door”

On the lower floors on a friday this is quite possibly the worst hotel you will ever stay in. I am literally typing this in the lobby and the loud thumping noise at 5:30 AM woke me up and they cannot change me to another room because the only available room is more costly and the night shift manager does not want to take responsibility. Unbelievable. A four star hotel ??? I have been moved from the 1st floor to the 6th and the loud music from the disco can still be heard. In the hotel lobby at 6AM it is very LOUD!!!

“Excellent Location - Topped only by the Best Breakfast!!!”

Nice hotel in an excellent location. Close to train station, restaurants, lake and all attractions. Breakfast is the best in town. The reception staff was a little stiff - but everything else was great!

“Great hotel for the price paid.”

Close to the train station. Breakfast had lots of variety. Room was big enough and clean. Staff were very helpful. Accidentally laid on the bed and did not see the chocolate heart so made a little bit of a mess. Within ten minutes we had someone come by and replace the sheets. Great stay and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Luzern.

“Convenient location for rail travelers”

Using a Swiss railpass, we were most interested in location of hotels en route. This one satisfied that need very well. It is only a block away, and the main Tourist office in the side of the rail station closest, for the walking tour meeting place. The Brasserie had good food, the rooms were well set up and the staff very helpful. For those who don't like crowded lobbies, note that this hotel is heavily used for groups.

Area recommendations

If not using rail-pass I would prefer to be in the Old Town area, because of the historic ambiance.
