“i visited this hotel in december 2011 and it was a complete disaster dont think of booking this”
this hotel villa toscane is a resident hotel to the five star hotel royal plaza which on other side of the road, this means that you just have the room in villa toscane and for everything else you have to go to the hotel otherside, they do not even have a reception or luggage room in villa toscane, even for your tea or coffee you need go to the hotel which is on other side of the road, which is actually a pain. the lift does not work at night this hotel is not worth a single star. this stay was certainly a ver very very bad experience,

“excelent hotel for the price”
Is a excelent hotel not overpriced, the only problem is that you have to use the facilities (registration, spa, etc.) from their sister hotel accross the street.
“Excellent hotel for a bargain price”
As others have mentioned, you need to go across the road to the Royal Plaza Hotel to check in - a mild inconvenience but it means that you can use all the facilities of the parent hotel - a bonus though we didn't have time to take advantage of it. Our room was facing the main road - however it was not noisy at all in the night. All in all this hotel was a steal at its low price (it was the lowest price we found in Montreux) and convenient location!
“Great Value, Great Location”
This was a great value for Montreux. Villa Toscane Swiss Q Hotel is an older hotel with no front desk. Check-in at hotel across the street where the amenities are also available to guests. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel and it is just a short walk to downtown and the train station. We lucked out with a great view of the lake but this is not the case with all rooms. There is a roof top deck with a view. Overall it was far more than we expected for the money in Switzerland!
“Disappointed”
The furniture in the room was not well distributed leaving us cramped and uncomfortable. The A/C had to be connected by us after disconnecting a lamp; it was so noisy that getting sleep was impossible........a disappointing experience!
“An Elegant Experience”
We were delightfully surprised by the elegance our suite. Thrilled to have cooking facilities. Loved the location and amenities. Would go there again, for sure.
“Never again”
The hotel was on the main street, and consequently was very handy to the lake, however, the room we were given was at street level with pedestrians being able to look straight in our window. The curtains did not close properly, meaning the room was light all night and very noisy from traffic driving past. The bed was comfortable but of little consolation given the noise and light. The room service and supplies were very poor. We were given one flannel (I suppose we had to share), and it was removed after the first night and not replaced for the remaining nights. One tiny bar of soap to last 2 people 3 nights. We had a separate problem with the curtain coming off the runner which we reported on the first night but nothing was done about it so we had to sort it for ourselves. So much for 24 hour room service.
“NOT IMPRESSED”
GOT A ROOM WITH WINDOWS HIGH UP FACING TIRES OF PARKED CARS IN THE BACK OF HOTEL. ROOM WAS DARK IN THE MIDLE OF DAY AND SMELLED BAD.

Very pleasant & cosy hotel. Friendly service with clean & warm rooms. Bed was too soft & beware of the expensive American breakfast!
