Value for money

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: Clean and value for money. Easy to locate. Family friendly.
Location: In easy reach of Geneva one way and Montreux the other way (spelling). Also recommend visiting Broc (cheese & chocolate) factories. Great fun!
Enjoyed our stay, kids loved the free wifi and games console area. The free parking was a bonus. Breakfast was a good buffet selection.

Good for a quick stop

Posted 10-Jul-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, Having room for two adults and two kids, Easy access off the highway.
Cons: Very much a business european hotel. Beds were a little hard but that's pretty normal.
Location: There's nothing near the hotel expect to drive or catch a bus.
The hotel is quite a bit away from the main part of Lausanne. This didn't bother us for an overnight stay but if we were spending time in the city we would have wanted something closer. Driving and parking in Lausanne can be challenging. The room was a bit of a tight fit for two kids and two adults but, realistically, the rooms were well laid out and clean.

Not the good choice for family stay

Posted 21-Jun-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: allot
Location: bad location nothing nearby
I was with in a family trip to Laussane in switzerland ,we were coming from Interlaken which was our first step ,we were very disappointed by the welcoming way from the hotel staff they were not friendly at all . The hotel looks to be only for a business stay so robot can do the job no need for human being to work there . I think it is Expedia mistake to post a hotel like this without pointing to that . The breakfast buffet was horrible. The location was far from the city . My advise to any family going to laussane not to stay in this hotel or even think about it .

Everything good except location

Normal Novotel except it is situated on a major road that is noisy. Also nothing within walking distance.

Good hotel for business or short stay.

Posted 19-Apr-2014
Pros: The hotel was quiet and the communal areas were very well kept, modern and relaxing. There is a outside bar area with views, free parking.
Cons: The rooms are cramped for families. Breakfast was only average for the price (25 Francs each).
Location: Ask for a free visitor's transport pass and explore Lausanne on bus & Metro. Art Brut museum, lake, Olympic museum, shops, wooden tower in the park...
I stayed with the family - 2 adults and 2 children in one room. The room was a bit cramped - very similar to a Premier Inn - but clean and functional with a good shower/bathroom. We stayed for 4 nights which was probably just about the maximum with a family in this kind of hotel. The staff were generally very helpful - if you asked for help but otherwise left you alone (which is fine).

In the burbs but a good value

I think most American travelers will be satisfied with the amenities and the sizes of the rooms. I had no complaints and would definitely stay again when in the Lausanne area.

Too far from the centre of Lausanne

Posted 16-Mar-2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and modern and seemed to be well maintained. The majority of staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Supply china mugs and real spoon, a more generous supply of tea and coffee, better towels and cleaner carpets.
Location: Too far out to be used by tourists. There is a good Chinese Restaurant near by.
The overall impression of this hotel was good but there were several disappointing aspects. The carpet in the room we stayed in was stained in several places. The towels were thin and seemed old. Although there was a kettle in the room, there were no cups or mugs or spoons, only paper cups with wooden sticks. The supply of tea and coffee was minimal, two sachets of coffee, tea and herbal tea, sugar and powdered milk. The hotel was too far out of town and according to an internet search was some distance from the station. There was however a bus stop near. This would not be a good hotel to use as a base for sight seeing.
