Good hotel overlooking Lake Geneva
All the staff spoke English and were friendly and very helpful. The Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of choice. The hot was waitress ordered at the table, e.g. Omelette, egg, bacon & cooked individually. The hotel was very clean but our room had stained carpets. The water was not very warm towards the end of the day. The train station was 10-15 minutes walk. The nearest bus stop was 5-8 minutes walk

Great location
We had a good stay and enjoyed our time there. Only thing is that the hotel is quite old and seriously needed to give itself a good facelift. We stayed at the apartment on the top floor to accommodate my family of 4. The furniture, flooring and wall work were all dated. Other than that, it was such a pleasant place to stay.

Restaurant no longer offers dinner or lunch, no bar anymore. No luggage assistance. Poor knowledge about environment around hotel.

Great view from the window
The hotel is quite old, but that's part of the charm. The room I had was in good condition and the view across the lake was fantastic. Only negative was that the chap on reception wasn't particularly welcoming and took an age to check me in.

The hotel is nice but needs to be reniewed. The rooms (including the bathroom) are old fashioned and you don't really feel that you are in a 4* hotel (because of this). Good points: the location is great and the breakfast really good!

Beautiful Nyon
The setting of this hotel couldn't be any quainter, as it overlooks Lake Geneva and is right at the edge of the old section of town. The rooms are not large, but most if not all have a small balcony that overlooks the lake (we were on the side of the building but the balcony was still quite nice). The only real complaint is that they had replaced the lock on the door, and in the process had added to the door jamb...consequently if you put your whole hand on the door knob to close the door, your fingers would get squeezed in the jamb. The dining room is quite elegant and the included breakfast was wonderful. We ate in the dining room one evening; our meal was quite good, but we were one of only 2 groups eating that evening...having said that, however, all the food was very fresh. If you are going to Nyon, this is the place to stay.

Great staff!
I had a 2 week stay for business and found the staff just terrific. They were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is older, like the village itself, but my room was spotless and super comfortable. The location was convenient to restaurants, Lake Geneva, ferries and more. I had a great stay.

Worst case of bait and switch
If there is a case internet misrepresentation, this is it. we booked a lakeview room which on the internet showed a lovely balcony with a breakfast serving. The reality was a window with a mosquito net looking over the lake. The free garage is limited to six slots in front of the hotel, when they are full you are out of luck. Finally the free internet did not work for the first 36 hours but, in fairness, this was a Swisscom problem. On the second day after much complaining we were upgraded to a Junior suite and life was better. So, make sure you know what you are booking before committing. The location is perfect and the town very quaint.

Room was ok but there was no hot water for my shower in the morning. When I came down to check out after a freezing cold shower they just said that it was a technical problem and offered no credit whatsoever.

Nice Hotel, Little Town, Close to Geneva Airport
Very comfortable. The rooms (or, rather, suites) were quite spacious. Our hotel room had a beautiful view of Lake Geneva. We used the hotel for our last night in Switzerland and departed from the Geneva airport the next morning. It was a very convenient drive from the hotel to the airport (less than 30 minutes!). The hotel had a lot of little extra touches that made it a very pleasant stay: a personally addressed letter welcoming us to the hotel along with little cookies and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was truly luxurious.

Overpriced even for Switzerland
Expected a lot more for the cost (£180 average per night) despite knowing Switzerland is expensive. Although it was advertised as a 4 star hotel it was nothing more really than a large glorified ski chalet.....with very basic furniture, a horrible smell in the corridors that was like bad drains and no ironing facilities (too dangerous said the hotel staff!) ridiculouis given nearly all the guests were business travellers.....they were happy to iron my shirts/blouses at some extortiant charge! There were some good points however.....friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great food in the restaurant but incredibly expensive, large TV and a free shuttle busz to town.

Great hotel for couples or family
We had a wonderful experience. We made the reservation with enough time in advance and booked a suite with a view It was low season and got up graded to a junior suite with a view.; an astonishing view. The room was large as well as the bath room. The heater and the internet worked very well. The staff, breakfast, and having dinner at La Veranda made possible having a superb stay.

What a wonderful hotel! Overlooking Lake Geneva. It was a touch of luxury at a reasonable price. Restaurant food was gourmet. Breakfast was inlcuded and the range was amazing. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Location was great. Bedrooms were wonderful...the bed was huge and comfortable, the linen was expensive. Wonderful extra touches with complimentary petit fours and Nespresso coffees. I wish I'd stayed longer and will definitely go back.

Great Hotel for a Great Location on Lake Geneva
Love the quality and ambience of the Hotel. Great views of Lake Geneva from my room and wonderfully located in Nyon, just up the road (or track) from Geneva if you are doing business too.

A lovely hotel just outside Geneva
Was upgraded to an apartment at no extra cost. While parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment, the areas that have been improved are splendid. The dining room overlooking the lake is wonderful and the breakfast excellent. Nyon is also a lovely town in close proximity to Geneva (15 minute and frequent trains).

Great hotel (if you get the right room)
My room was really nice, great view, very comfortable, right size, view onto the lake. Staff was very helpful and friendly, good breakfast (in comparison to other hotels in Switzerland especially). Only minus: There was no internet at all available in the room. Staff explained it (change over from LAN to WiFi), but that should have been communicated beforehand). But as it forced all guests into the cozy lobby at nights (there was WiFi there), it created a very social atmosphere, so that's only a slight complain. Heard from other guests that some rooms are darker and smaller, so better ask which room will be assigned to you.

it is hard to find any boutique hotel in that region so the Beau Rivage was a great option. perfect location. we had a very large room overlooking the lake. perfect for a couple with kids. we were able to close off the room where our daughter was sleeping. large corridor, large bathroom. and very nice breakfast. hence the 5 for this hotel!

sehr schöne Lage direkt am Seeufer und zentral zur Innenstadt. Zimmer sauber, aber einfach. Allerdings ist das Hotel schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und gehörte renoviert, so dass das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis wieder besser stimmt.

- Die Aircon hat getropft und die Ledertasche und die Kleider meiner Freundin komplett in Wasser getränkt - Unser Zimmer (Nr. 101) ist klein und schäbig, das Badezimmer winzig + Das Frühstückbuffet und die Aussicht beim Frühstücken waren dafür toll und liessen keine Wünsche offen + Angenehmer Shuttle-Service zum Bahnhof + Sehr bequemes Bett

Altes Hotel an wunderbarer Lage am Genfersee. Es ist sauber und gepflegt und hat alles, was es offiziell für ein 4* Hotel braucht. Aber alles ist sehr alt und die Allgemeinheit würde wohl etwas anderes erwarten. Dies zieht sich durch das ganze Hotel vom Empfang bis ins Badezimmer. Das wiederum macht es fast etwas "kultig". Preis/Leistung ist nicht mehr ganz i.O. Zum Glück war das Frühstücksbuffet 4*-würdig... und die Aussicht zum See und zum Mont Blanc glatte 5* plus!

Das Hotel ist alt. Ansonsten waren wir grundsätzlich zufrieden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, unser Zimmer (Seeseite) grosszügig und sauber. Etwas schade, dass weder Restaurant noch Bar am Wochenende offen ist. Dafür war das Frühstück mit Sicht auf See und Sonnnenaufgang allein die Reise wert.

Hôtel prestigieux confortable
Hôtel de prestige mais qui aurait besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement. Notre chambre était très confortable, grande et claire et donnait sur le lac. Toutes les commodités et l'accueil y était. Malheureusement, le tapis de sol était très taché. Petit-déjeuner copieux et agréable.

Ausser für das Frühstück, wo sogar freundliches Personal zugegen war, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, wofür die 4 Sterne sein sollten. Beim Check-In wurde als Erstes nach der Kreditkarte gefragt (Frage, ob man eine gute Anreise hatte oder ein "herzlich Willkommen" wäre netter gewesen). Im Aufzug merkwürdiger Gestank, Zimmerausstattung mangelhaft. Schade, die Lage ist nämlich gut!

convenable, confortable , problèmes de chauffage dans la chambre, il faut laisser couler le='eau très très longtemps (10 mn) avant qu'elle ne soit chaude, le sèche cheveux ne fonctionnait pas sinon c'est correct
